USS Enterprise (eventually) on Discovery?

I tested google image search with a pic of the Kelvin 1701-A and this is what it returned:

I came across this site, with some renderings of the Discoprise. With that coloring / lighting the design looks considerably better, in my opinion. Dish is too dark, though:

Thats an older version of Chris Kuhn's model. It's been updated since then.

Personally, I prefer this one, it's a bit more accurate to what material has been released so far

Thanks.

Personally, I have finally seen enough to be okay with the Discoprise. And with the Kelvin versions, too.

Out of them all, the one I still don't care for is the 1701-D. And I don't think I will be changing my mind on that.

Yeah, that's Chris Kuhn's first draft of the Discoprise. His second model is a lot better, though not perfect.

My god that's cheesy.

Don't know how replacing the Jefferies ship with Every Kid's First CG Model is " updating and modernizing" it.

Though it is funny how the fans are doing a far more credible job of updating the ship than the paid CGI artists on Discovery.

I was making a little joke myself, saying that the franchise is in its prime as in the best years of your life not prime timeline. I'm honestly a bit surprised that no one disputed that, I hardly believe it myself :D
No, that was in the 80s and early 90s.

I've given the DSC Enterprise some praise and it's certainly a pretty ship by DSC standards, but you know who did the best job of updating the ship for a modern television audience?

The CGI artists on Enterprise, that's who.

I do think this part needs some attention. Right now it looks about like....a kitchen throw rug that they are desperately trying to hold in place 'cause the dog's been skidding on it.

They borrowed that bit from the Excelsior - conformed it to the hull, but even kept the "fins."

You can pretty much always trace at a glance exactly what Eaves has taken from earlier designs.

How do you mean limited? Don’t mean to sound snippy btw I’ve just never thought about the TMP transporters at all really.
One, we see the transporters kill someone. Two, they are so limited that they can't beam anyone out of dangerous situations (i.e. Spock in the thruster suit. Nope, send the flag officer out. V'Ger's about to explode? Better run! etc).
It's funny-is the pattern on this model also cheap and a poor roofing job? Asking for a friend.
