I don't know for sure, but I think it's very likely Discovery's VFX are rendered at 2k.
That would suck on so many levels.I don't know for sure, but I think it's very likely Discovery's VFX are rendered at 2k.

I'm suddenly wondering what the reaction would've been if they decided to use the TMP Enterprise for the finale of Discovery.

They might as well have, since they seem to want to retcon TOS out of existence.

If that were true, they wouldn't still be licencing merchandise that use the TOS designs. They might as well have, since they seem to want to retcon TOS out of existence.
Nah you mean the Abramsprise, can't use the TMP Enterprise due to timeline but funnily enough the looks and nacelles would fit in perfectly to the Starfleet ships we have seen like the Europa.I'm suddenly wondering what the reaction would've been if they decided to use the TMP Enterprise for the finale of Discovery.
You know, repeating the same thing over and over doesn't make it true.
Changing the designs of TOS retroactively does not remove TOS from existence, in-universe or otherwise.

DSC still doesn't erase TOS, the events of the TV series still happened/will happen.I’m talking about DSC specifically, not real life.

Just visually, the important part are the stories and the characters. all of that still happened the same was as TOS. The design of the Enterprise doesn't change that. Not in the way it’s portrayed in TOS, it doesn’t. The redesign of the Enterprise is proof enough of that.

We're still 9 years before the series starts. There is nothing about the stories and the characters in DSC that is remotely like TOS.
