Captain Marvel (2019)

Oh, no! The suit is still blue-green! Definitely the worst movie ever!
I'm starting to wonder if this is going to be one where we don't actually see her in the traditional suit until the very end of the movie. I like the green suit, and would actually have no problem with it if it was her permanent suit. I doubt it will be since we've already seen concept art with the black/red/gold color scene, and Kevin Feige has pretty much said we'll see her comics suit eventually.

Remember that we didn't see Captain America in his final costume in The First Avenger until the final act of the movie.

Same for Iron Man suit, Hulk and Doctor Strange. I think Thor and Ant-Man are the only solo debut movie where the iconic suit showed up in the first third of the movie instead of the last third. With the former he still spent the entire second act and all but the last 15 mins of the third in civies and with the latter, the suit pre-existing was baked into the plot.
Even some of the non-solo movie characters didn't show up in their signature outfits until well into their respective debut movies. Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Falcon, War Machine and Vision all leap to mind.

Indeed I distinctly recall certain people freaking out about how unfaithful to the comics Vision looked when some shots of him leaked out... then they turned out to be from when he first "emerges" and in the final movie he gets the cape and everything like 40 seconds later! People have short memories it seems. ;)

Something about the green suit seems off to me anyway.
What are the chances they use a green suit to digitally map the thing easier and put the final colors on it with additional CGI polish?

It's too bad the style of the Ms. Marvel outfit is too sexy for the movie. It's a great design, with the flowing sash and the big lightning bolt on a black background. The Captain Marvel outfit is growing on me, but it's not as good of a design.

I'm the opposite, I much prefer the Captain Marvel costume.

That seems a bit excessive to me, unless they're doing something with it you can't do live on set.

Well, I suppose Captain Marvel will make history as the worst looking, most inaccurate costume of any of heroes headlining a movie. The only MCU film I want to see less then this is Homecoming 2, and thats because Homecoming is the only outright bad MCU movie so far in my opinion. At this rate, I think Captain Marvel will be the second legitimately bad MCU film.

I just realized, 2019 will have two bad movies loosely based off characters called Captain Marvel. Well, I guess this movie can literally not be worse then "Shazam", so even if its as bad as it seems to be it will still be the best Captain Marvel movie.

There's no tracking markers and it's the wrong shade of green, so almost certainly not.

It is however a very similar colour scheme to Mar-Vell's old Kree uniform in the comics...

It would seem reasonable in an origin story that they would follow from the original Kree green uniform of the first Mar-Vell up to her modern suit.

That's been my assumption so far. Mostly I just dig the idea that this retroactively makes Steve Rogers' SHIELD uniform derivative of Carol Danvers' and not the other way around. Or maybe it's a bit of both?

"Most people are savvy enough to know they’re looking at a behind-the-scenes photo, completely out of context. So we don’t do things like rush photos."

Emphasis is mine.
