Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

(It's extremely difficult to reconcile the Bonaventure with live action canon)

Not really. Enterprise is a result of the time travel interference from First Contact. Essentially a separate timeline from TOS/TAS.

Was just in Forbidden Planet and they had several Ring Ship and one K7 specials on half price. I left the Ring Ship but did pick up the K7 which I didn't get when it was out last year.

Slightly OT:
A pre-built model of the Rocinante from The Expanse was included in a Loot Crate (TM), and is available on eBay.
I picked one up a while back, it’s a decent little miniature. The only drawbacks: my antennas were a bit bent from the packaging (nothing the hot water trick wouldn’t fix) and the paint job is really only detailed for the side visible in it’s display (the other side is pretty plain). The mold is pretty good and the display is nifty. Overall I would recommend. I shouldn’t complain since i only paid only $8 shipped (and would have been happy if I picked it up in a store for $20).

So here is most of my collection as it stands right now, I have a fair few in storage and still haven't gotten around to getting Titan or Avantine, nor do I have the XL-Enterprise-E or the Beyond E or the two Disco ships thus far.

Got the Bozeman & my missing Rhode Island for this months shipment. The Rhode Island will probably go up for sale on eBay because I got impatient & bought another one off eBay a few months ago.

Bozeman came with the nacelles horribly misaligned so I wiggled one side loose & repositioned it. There is a slot where the nacelle piece means the main model & I just reattached it there. It’s actually sitting without any model glue at the moment. The model is actually fairly detailed with “United Federation of Planets Starship USS Bozeman” along the rim of the saucer, USS Bozeman under shuttle bay 1 and NCC-1941 under shuttle bay 2. Its little details like this that make me appreciate the models more.

Why do you keep saying that like it’s fact? It isn’t.

It is my opinion. It makes the most sense, in my opinion. Pretty much anything about entertainment is someone's opinion to one degree or another.

Aside from the fact that TAS is not as well-known as any of the live-action series and still not considered canon by many fans (It's extremely difficult to reconcile the Bonaventure with live action canon)
Sure but I would consider it more official than some calendar models.

I've been hearing that for a while, yes (I'm in the US), but when? Eaglemoss made a sub available for Disco ships months before the Shenzhou came out. The Mk II has been available for some time now, with the NuRaider about to be released and not a blip about it, either on the site or mentioned in the HeroCollector newsletter. It's a bit perplexing.

Still haven't seen any announcement for a BSG subscription.
a couple weeks ago there was a post on the battlestar starships fan group facebook page saying the USA subscription was live. the post linked to hero collector (not eaglemoss) and showed the first images i had seen of the basestar models.

unfortunately i recently deleted facebook, so i don't have access to the fan groups any more and a quick google search didn't reveal anything.

however there was a point in the past few weeks when the subscription was available. i even considered subscribing but decided against it since i already had the viper mark II and i'm not interested in the OG battlestar stuff, so there would've been a lot of skipping and/or ebaying. still, it's really odd that this isn't readily available.

it's also odd that the cylon raider has yet to come up for pre-order through eaglemoss as we're less than a month out from the supposed release date. i wasn't particularly happy with the viper, had to have them replace my original because of poor construction, but overall the scale is simply too large for such a simple vehicle. it looks and feels like a toy. hoping the raider fares better and really looking forward to the galactica and basestar, as those will probably be great in this scale.

Huh... curious why they haven't made more of an attempt to market the subscription then. I hope they don't want the line to prematurely fail. Guess I'll have to give them another call.

USS Sulaco arrived!
question: i've hunted around a bit online but can't find anything, do you know if there's a good place for news regarding the alien collection? specifically, i'm interested in keeping up to date to see if eaglemoss plans on making the USCSS prometheus and covenant.

it is really strange the raider isn't up for pre-order yet. i literally check daily. they were late with the klingon warbird as well though which gives me some comfort. but if they're going to make that june 1 release date, they've got to have warehouses full of raiders by now, right? you'd think they'd want pre-orders to gauge interest in this new collection.

and for me personally, i like to just pre-order it and forget it.

There’s no specific news site I know of. The AVP wikis don’t cover merchandise (yet).
My news source is the Star Trek Eaglemoss fan group.
