Okay, so. Not much news from EM at Destination Germany, but some tidbits and hints.
The Narada is not happening. They can technically make it (but at a huge cost), but they can’t ship it. The damages in transit rate would simply be too high (it’s always under 5%) but for this ship, which would come at a much higher cost (range over 200£ if they made it) this percentage would be unacceptably high. I’m at peace with this, because you could really tell it pained them as much as it does us.
Next up...
They have now the possibility to make JJ ships at regular size, but not within the regular run. Option under investigation is to make a bundle of four regular sized JJ fed ships.
I’ve asked with the Tardigrade as a figurine coming is we can expect more space-dwelling creatures as figurines, like gumtoo. Reaction was “no, that’ll be a ship”. Make of that what you will
TAS ships did really poor in the polls, so unlikely.
Separated models (like Galaxy class in two parts, Prometheus in three) also seem unlikely.
Spacedock is confirmed as happening, but no confirmed slot.
Disco Enterprise is scheduled to come out roughly at the same time as when Disco s2 starts.
Also an idea of a partworks build-your-own Enterprise D isn’t happening. The end-result size will simply be waaay too big for them to put in the detail which is needed.
They have CGIs of about all the models you can get, but the problem is to plan them in and find the balance.
They do a drop test of all packaging by dropping it from 10 feet up, then stepping on it. If the model survives, package is ok.
I fancied we’d get both Bonaventures!TAS ships did really poor in the polls, so unlikely.
Seems like they know when season 2 starts. If the collection starts again in September then probably we are looking at 2019 as there are a few other DISCO ships already schedule.Disco Enterprise is scheduled to come out roughly at the same time as when Disco s2 starts.
They should have it tested by a real postman. They do a drop test of all packaging by dropping it from 10 feet up, then stepping on it. If the model survives, package is ok.
Damn, come on guys. Support TAS.TAS ships did really poor in the polls, so unlikely.
Not doing the Narada seems very reasonable - it's a fiendishly complex design to which they could never really do justice at that scale.
Don't think so. I do think they also got a Starfleet arrowhead keychain, though. Memory Alpha has a fairly comprehensive list of multinational offerings. Are there any other Trek models from DeAgostini that are better than eaglemoss?
Jeez, couldn't they be bothered to check the spelling of the wording on the poster? It's "receive", not "recieve". Amateurs.Tweet of a photo of the promotional DSC sub poster:

I am very disappointed with that TAS news. Especially because it makes not much sense to refer to the poll about bonus models. They decided to release the Lokirrim Warship, the Xhosa, the Federation Tug, the Bajoran Freighter, the Baxial, the Nausicaan Fighter, the Academy Training Craft and many other ships which are not very popular. So why not the Bonaventure and the Huron? There is really no need for them to be released as bonus models.
That is one of the failures of Trek: the lack of marketable designs. Star Wars produces cool ships, edgy heroes and cute critters that are all easy to turn into toys (plastic, plush, Lego). Whereas the Narada is incomprehensible complex and the Altamid swarm ship plain ugly. Franklin and Discovery are visually cool ships but handle strange as models due to negative space and spiky nacelles, respectively.
