The Mini-Series You Would Like To See

Would you like to see STAR TREK release the occasional mini-series and -- if so -- what would it be about? Khan's earthly shenanigans? STAR TREK reunion one-offs? For me, personally, I'd love to see The Vulcan Wars when the Romulans split off. Also, one about Colonel Green, including World War III and it's aftermath. I'd like to believe that there will be plenty of such show to look forward to, in the years ahead ...

I'd be happy with one tv movie every time they have a good story to tell - say every three months or so or even longer - depends.

The last mission of the Enterprise-C, something that showed up just who this brave but forgotten crew were, facing off against a tough mission and once it's over as the ship is about to head back to base for some much needed R&R, but then:
OPS [turning towards the centre of the bridge, a look of concern on their face]: Captain, I'm picking up a distress call from the Narendra System.
XO [scowling]: Narendra? The Klingon colony?
OPS: Yes sir, it's heavily garbled but they say they're under attack.
Garrett [looks from OPS to XO before steeling herself]: Castillo, set course for the Narendra System, maximum warp.
Castillo: Course and speed laid in, sir.
Garrett [steps to her chair and sits down]: Red alert, all hands to battlestations. Helm, engage.
[As alert panels flash red, the Enterprise leaps to warp. END.]

If a mini-series.

1) A founding of the federation story. More of a intellectual story, not action-adventure, or intrigue or conspiracy. Not being a hundred million dollar block buster major movies release could allow for a smaller story to be told.

2) A romulan war story. Again a smaller story, less the over-all grand strategy viewpoint, and instead focus on a single ship and it's relatively small crew as they fight one battle somewhat off by themselves, a slice out of a larger conflict. And don't make it the hinge pin of the entire war.

PT-109, not Patton. No politicians, or admirals, or even full captains.

3) A young skipper with her first command story. A lieutenant assigned a older ship and the difficulties of a mixed species crew, right after starfleet started seriously integrating their ships. Show the clash of cultures.

4) A investigation - mystery story. The depths of space, isolated, figuring out a puzzle, the "whatever" starting to cause psychological problem with the crew.

The events leading to Worf’s adoption would make for s good three part serial. I’d expect s big budget though.

Ring ship.

Gary Seven mini series set in the sixties, but with advantage of fifty years hindsight.

Ring ship

A spy on Romulus, or a Romuphile defector. Deep under cover on Romulus, living among Romulans and Remens.

Ring Ship.

Wow; a very interesting question, with many possibilities! For me, i would like to see any of the following:
(1) Daily life in a federation colony - either a colony at the core of the Federation, or a colony on the edge of Federation space, e.g. on the border with Romulans, Cardassians, Klingons, Tzenkethi, etc.
(2) The investigation of lost civilization - as a someone who studies ancient history, I would like to see a team of Federation or Starfleet scientists, archaeologists, and historians investigate a lost civilization, e.g. the Ikonians; and basically investigate the 'true' final frontier: time, and learning something about their own society in the process. Maybe they could discover something important for the future of the Federation, like a new technology of space transportation - e.g. the 'stargates' of the Ikonians.
(3) The rise of the Cardassian Empire - an exploration of what the Cardassians were like before their imperial ambitions, including - maybe - their early interactions with Bajorans. And we see how the military slowly began to take over the administration of Cardassia, introduce new doctrines, and begin their expansive period.
(4) The 'bottom of the class' starship - we always see those starfleet crews that are 'the best of the best'; what about those who graduate bottom of the class. They would be like underdogs that Starfleet, etc, would not really give a chance to be at the forefront of space exploration. What would life be like for them? I have an image in my head something like the English show - Red Dwarf - where characters are constantly trying to prove themselves and get promoted, or stumble their way through situations. Hopefully we could have a fun show, without actually making fun of these people for being near 'the bottom.'

My last idea is one that is quite personal to me. I come from the Eastern Mediterranean/Middle East and I would like to see a standard series, set on a starship, exploring the galaxy, but the crew comprises of Greeks and Turks, Arabs and Jews, Saudis and Iranians, etc. For me, it would help share the hope I have that in the future this part of the world that has seen so much war, death and hate, finally achieves peace. All these peoples that once hated each other, can now work together, and achieve things that once seemed impossible.

Thank you for reading my post, and I apologize if any of my English was strange - English is not my first language

The events leading to Worf’s adoption would make for s good three part serial. I’d expect s big budget though.
I know what you mean, but I just imagine a three part serial about the legal process of Humans adopting a Klingon.

Starfleet Academy. Kirk, Spock and the rest save the galaxy between classes, a la Buffy and Smallville.

I'd also get a huge kick out of a Eugenics War series, set in an alternate 1990's (no secret war nonsense, please), where Khan Singh and his followers conquered a third of the world before being overthrown and exiled to space.

The Rise of the Federation story. (IOW televise those books!)

Starfleet Vanguard- best Starfleet series to never make it to T.V

A 23rd or 24th century starship story where humans are the minority for a change. Show a diverse ship that reflects the Federation.

It's the United Federation of Planets not Earth Fleet, human characters get incredibly dull whilst aliens add whole new perspectives and dynamics, plus can be far more diverse.

The Yamato mini series. Captain Donald and his crew on their own ongoing mission, encountering new life and new civilisations, until they encounter the Iconians and blow up, but it doesn't end there.

Their chief engineer has found something in the Iconian programme at the very last second, and they all live happily ever.

I've mentioned a kind of farewell movie with many of the old Berman era actors and characters before so I won't mention that again on my list.

1 Captain Nog or Captain Sulu min-series. One or both. Not sure which I would prefer.

2 Garak: Tells the story of how he got exiled and his his life flip-turned upside down. In the Obsiden Order he was born and raised Got in one little fight and Meela got scarred and had Enabrin Tain move him near his soon to be friend, in Bashir.

3 Earth/Romulan war.

4 Eugenics War.

5 A mirror universe story set on occupied Earth.
