Hmmm. Looks like you can't go wrong with the Borg...
At this point I am willing to bet that First Contact is probably also to most watched Tre movie in the general populace through similar mediums.

Perhaps Discovery will introduce the Borg sphere's of pre-TOS where peace loving Borgs will share the love?Hmmm. Looks like you can't go wrong with the Borg...

Agreed. Very annoying.I can google and get way better. I wasn't a fan of T & A just for the sake of it.Did not like sexed up T'Pol either. They should have left 7 looking pasty and drone like for at least half a season. But they wanted quick ratings.
Yes, yes you can.Hmmm. Looks like you can't go wrong with the Borg...
So it's inevitable that Netflix will want the Borg in Discovery sooner or later.Netflix looked at data from over 100 million subscribers, in 190 different countries, to see which episodes of “Star Trek” were the most popular.
The streaming site has all six iterations of the “Star Trek” series...
1) 'Endgame: Parts 1 & 2', Voyager
2) 'The Best of Both Worlds: Part 1', The Next Generation
3) 'The Best of Both Worlds: Part 2', The Next Generation
4) 'Scorpion: Part 1', Voyager
5) 'Scorpion: Part 2', Voyager
6) 'The Gift', Voyager
7) 'Dark Frontier: Parts 1 & 2', Voyager
8) 'Q Who?', The Next Generation
9) 'Time and Again', Voyager
10) 'Clues', The Next Generation

Mirror Borg. No canon violation. Boom. Problem solved. At which point it will become even harder to defend. There are plenty of genuine criticisms of the show and plenty of unearned ones, but introducing the borg would be almost certainly a disaster.

Actually, I’m not a big fan of the Borg, so no Borg on DSC is fine by me.
Whoah...you actually made the Borg almost interesting again.I want the mirror Borg to be utter benelovent, peaceful beings. That want to bring harmony to the galaxy, and giving everyone a choice to be assimilated or not. Not forcing anyone, but luring in with the prospect of post-scarcity, complete protection, ultimate safety and conformity (through the prize of less freedom). On first sight more harmless than the prime-version. But actually making people give up their individuality voluntarily. Something like a nightmare-version of the Federation. Less evil on the outside, but more insedious in their way to achieve total assimilation and domination of the galaxy.

At least for me personally, it's more difficul to go through one mediocre story after another, than enduring one, continuous long story that turns out to be kinda' bad in the end, but had some fun parts inbetween.
Same reason why I think it's a lot easier to watch the weaker episodes of DS9's Dominion war arc or ENT season 3, than each series' early stand-alone seasons.
Bring on the Borg!
Maybe we can have Picard's great grandpa fight them!
I have a higher tolerance for Trek stupidity when it's contained to goofy episodes than when it's spread across the entire season. For me, "kinda bad in the end," when it's the culmination of a whole season, makes the whole thing feel like a waste of time.
