The worst Government in living memory and honestly it's appalling they're still hovering between 46-48 in the polls while under Gillard, Labor dropped to 38. It shows the insane double standard Australia holds Labor and the Greens to compared to the Liberals. Honestly the fact in 2018, that Pink Batts became a talking point AGAIN shows how absurd this country treats Labor policy to Liberal policy. Pink Batts scheme was in the end massively successful as well and actually brought regulation to the industry, but hear the media talk about the reality of the NBN or the people dying on the WftD scheme? nope.
The Nationals are the biggest political scam artists in the country and Joyce perfectly represents that.
How so though?
I know they would never break free of the Liberals but wonder if they did that what would happen next?
He's good and I've seen that.....
Have watched earlier ones not this weeks.
They claim to be a rural, pro-farmer party but they're in fact anything but.
The Nationals fight against Environment and Climate Change action severely damages farmers who have to deal with worse water supply, erosion, harsher climate and they constantly vote with the liberals in cutting support and welfare not only to Australians, but Rural areas which have the highest suicide and unemployment rates.
Lets not ever forget the NBN sabotage that has basically permanently relegated Rural Australia to a global backwater that will always have worse Internet than Developing Nations.
The Nationals are essentially a fake party designed to just funnel rural votes to the Liberals.
The Greens have far better pro-Farmer policies, so does Katter's Australia party.
Oh wow so the Nationals really couldn't give a damn about Farmers and rural people. Check
And there you go. What goes on in people's bedrooms affects how they perform as politicians.
It would be nice if one's private lives didn't affect their ability to perform in office. But that's idealistic isn't it?
Good riddance.
Next steep will be he leaves parliament at the next election either jumping or loosing pre-selection.
It is not about his behaviour in the bedroom but instead is about his hypocrisy and his perceived nepotism. Plenty of politicians have had affairs while in office without them having to resign. However none of those politicians made derogative remarks about others’ morality as Joyce did about gays and teenage girls.
Exactly, @Miss Chicken, I don't give a damn about his private life (except to say, "girl, what were you thinking???"), but the nepotism, greed and out and out corruption just burn me. Not to include his stance on the "sanctity of marriage".
Yeah he has done that..... Oh well. He's going to sit at the back now with Abbott.
Good riddance. It will be interesting to see which person the Nationals elect as their new leader.
but it's not the just the hypocrisy - he's done a good job on rorting the system (getting her cushy well paying jobs, tax payer funded trips where get to spent time with her etc)
As put elsehwere, it's not the rooting, it's the rorting.
