The blurred uniforms vaguely looked like this to me.

Love your avatar pic. If he was captain he would probably get more tail than Kirk ever did. :)
They’re didn’t really have red I don’t think. Just gold and blue.

90 minutes later into the episode
"And Black Badge Holder number 2, 3rd jr assistant plumber, that's what the black badges stand for, Ensign Michael Ellis, we award this medal" -Adm Cornball, losing her voice

"That is what starfleet stands for!" -Burnham

"And holoscreen repairman Lt Jr Grade..zzzzzzzz"

"That is what starfleet stands. zzzzz"

But we didn't see the repairman or those other people. I'm just talking about the people in the room which was the detmer and the other one.

The Enterprise basically took the TOS ship, added the TMP nacelle pylons with a gap in the middle of each one and then added the Aztecing of a starship like the U.S.S. Gagarin, which a poster used as an example in a Photoshop earlier this evening. I like it. It's not what I'd have done but considering that this show could have turned the Enterprise into a Cylon raider with giant warp nacelles and an unidentifiable bridge module I'd say everybody won tonight.

The fans who wanted the Enterprise slightly updated got what they wanted and the classic TOS fans who were fine with the original design got a bone thrown their way. And if a pedantic TOS guy like me is mostly happy with the look of the ship then most everybody else ought to be at peace with it, too.

Yes, yes, yes, and YES! This was the TOS reimagine we've been waiting for, I bow to the DISC gods. #NotAReboot

Those the things that they could replace though. Have the screen show better visuals etc.
As long as they don’t have those Star Wars like holograms.

No, I don't mocking the old model :) I just want to react to your "The new bridge is boring" statement. But now I have done it, so we're even. Peace now. :D

I don’t think they look aged and dated at all but I know I’m in the minority sadly.
The Cage era version wasn’t as colourful as the one later on so it could work. They just need to make it with better materials than what they had in the 60’s and have better lighting.

This.

It likely won't happen at all, but this. And if you are in the minority it's probably not by much. Most of the Enterprise from "The Cage" is a beautiful ship.

She's a big hero now? Starfleet is screwed. :)
As Starfleet Big Heroes go, she's about average. She stopped a war, but didn't save the universe or anything.
Starfleet will have bigger problems than restoring rank to Big Hero in the decades to come. Lorca was just the tip of the Psycho officer iceberg and it will need a few rule breaking Big Damn Heroes to counter it.
