Haven't read this thread, but I have to add... Loved that the scenes of "Previously on Star Trek: Discovery" was introduced in Klingon. Totally awesome!

So I was just imagining a scene where Micheal introduces Spock to Tilly. Tilly starts chipper chirping at Spock and he turns around, raises a brow, and walks away.
So that's what I thought from the start, and I'm right about it. Let me say that you have your own preference, and I have my own preference. But you call the newer model of the bridge as boring. So I'll say that a bridge model with that colorful plastic button, old monochrome televisions, microscope like computer for Mr. Spock just to read wikipedia, and colorful wall painting like in TOS is so ridiculous and weird.
I wanted him to tell her "Unlike you, I'm not tired of deciding which mission is too risky and which isn't, and who's going on the landing party and who doesn't, and who lives and who dies. Boy, you've had it, Philippa."
Those the things that they could replace though. Have the screen show better visuals etc.
As long as they don’t have those Star Wars like holograms.
The bridge crew all had medals, we just didn't hear them named by Cornwell.
If my darker interpretion of how it all went down behind the scenes had any merit, officer "keep your mouth shut transporter tech" guy is out enjoying his space yacht and missed the ceremony.
Well, the line for Saru should have been:
"The first Kelpian to receive the Medal of Honor non-posthumously - the other Kelpians gave their lives as food to sustain Federation Troops in times of need - and we have the recepies to prove it..."

The Episode was pretty bad and SMG's acting and delivery hit new lows of cringe and the writing was completely hamfisted and awful across the board and the Klingon war wrap up is "Wut?"
That said, The Enterprise Redesign is pretty sexy though too much aztecking. I said on /r/StarTrek before the season ever started that it was going to end on a shot of the Enterprise and I guess I was right.

So many great things happened! I like how everything was wrapped up, and that not everything went predictably. I loved seeing the Orion embassy on Q'onos. This felt the most cinematic for me, especially towards the end. Oh, and that ending, my goddess that ending! I loved the updated design of the Pike Enterprise, and the ending music from the original series, it just hit every right note for me.

It looked like there were some wearing the USS Kelvin uniforms.I find it pretty easy to tell the different departments apart.
I saw some people in the audience of the award ceremony wearing what looked liked blue turtle necks.
