I just re-watched the Babel episode and its stated Spock haven spoken to Sarek in 18 years. I suppose that could be interpreted in many ways but I don't expect seeing them together face-to-face here.

Even if the way it played out could have used some work, the idea behind the resolution of the Klingon War felt very Trek to me.
Maybe it could have worked better if after learning more about the Federation and its values with her interactions the crew and humans through AshVoq. Maybe a bit more convincingly than we saw. She came back to the Klingon leaders with her Intel about the bomb about to destroy the planet. She save the empire. Becomes a hero. Then kill the main leader of the Klingon empire in a typical Klingon fashion. Become the leader of the Klingon. Unify her people and end the war. Helped to keep her position by her temple supporters and people still following T'Kuvma's words. This is not so far to what happened. In my head, it is what happened even if some scenes were cut for the final version. :) I'm joking a bit because the rest of the episode was relatively well written with good dialogues and resolutions on many storylines.

I think a focus away from the war arc will allow more breathing room for the writers. A few of the middle episodes this season, as well as many side stories, the overall tone, cinematography, special effects, dialogues and many storylines were great this season and open the potential for more.

In the novels T'Pol became the captain of the Endeavor for many years and then she retired. I know that isn't strictly canon but I see here being at least a Vice Admiral by now if she was around.

I didn't really like this episode.
The previous episode all felt like set up for this big finale. Once the episode started and they beamed to Quonos it really felt slow.. Once Tilly realized she had a bomb it picked up a little but overall I felt disinterested and disappointed in how the season wrapped up. The Enterprise at the end was exciting but we'll see what happens.

Lethe was my favorite episode.

Another version of the 1701 Enterprise. How many versions do we need?
Cage version
STD version
TOS version
Phase II version
Motion Picture version
JJVerse version

Well, she was in her 60's when she was assigned to NX-01. The actress' current age, around 15 years later in real time, would probably match her character's relative look in age 80-100 years later. Although I doubt Blalock would come out of retirement for the role.
The age T’pol Would be now would be close to how old she was in E-Squared

Yeah, so either Spock isn’t on the ship, or he avoids his father the entire time.

Well the phase 2 one isn’t technically canon.

There is also the “Where no man has gone before” version. Which was slightly different from ‘The Cage’ iirc

T'Pol wasn't that popular of a character, ever, and honestly even as an Enterprise fan, I think the show has gotten plenty of callbacks in this show and the last few movies. If the catsuit no longer fits, you must quit.

Oh who am I kidding. I'd love to see her in some capacity, but not as a captain.

I wouldn't mind seeing Una as captain, her characterization in Desperate Hours was good (and for those who say the books aren't canon, that's true, but something different is going on with these books. Burnham's explanation of why her parents dying, the whole supernova thing is directly from that book), and she would work very well with Saru. Also, she's not human.

I really did think though, we were about to see Prime Lorca get picked up at Vulcan.

One further thought. In his last scene, I was thinking that out of all of the characters, Ash Tyler by far was given the best arc over the course of the series. He went from a traumatized PTSD survivor to an awakened Klingon sleeper agent, to a psychotic mess, and finally seemed to integrate both sides of his personality in the end, becoming comfortable both with his human and Klingon memories. Yes, I think the resolution (his going off with L'Rell - who he formerly saw as a torturer/rapist) was contrived. But Latif's performance sold me on his becoming a whole person, and heading off on his own, new adventure. And then the wrote this suddenly compelling character off the show as anything other than a likely recurring guest character.

His arc contrasts strongly with Burnham. As I said, Burnham never shows any real growth. She just makes random choices, many of which blow up in her face, until she makes one set of random choices (trusting MU Georgiou not to kill her, and L'Rell to hold up her end of the bargain) that seemingly work out okay.

WNMHGB version

The one with the black stripes where the running lights are on her saucer. And the impulse deck with the multiple small vent holes in the engines.
