Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 1x15 - "Will You Take My Hand?"

I feel like this episode needed to be longer, or two parts.

What a hard to rate episode. Most of it was pretty great and then we get to a lame resolution (the genius Terran plan being a bomb, the war just ending, the Ugghhh Enterprise uggghhh just happening to be having an emergency directly in the Discovery's flight path uggh). How did the federation even think the bomb plot was even going to work? The Klingon armada would just turn around and not wreak a horrible vengeance on Earth, then Vulcan, then Andoria, and everywhere else they can for destroying their homeworld?

The whole series seemed to need a little space. Especially the back half. Two more mirror episodes to help establish evil Lorca, instead of the reveal and he's gone. Another couple episodes to resolve the war.

I'd give the whole season a 7. This particular episode a 6. The bad outweighed the good (the market adventures). A good show, but not a great one. Which is fine. Not a knock against it. Not every show can be great. Still above a lot of other trek.

Will Christopher Pike be the one character in all of Trek history who has been played by the most number of different actors? It will be four.

Nope. Amanda Grayson has been portrayed by 5 actress

I am also VERY curious if there is a link, in the future, between Burnham & L'Rell because of all that has transpired. They have both contributed to peace. They've both loved the same person. Connection.

They showed the audience at awards ceremony blurred but there were definitely those wearing the cage style uniforms.

Well presumably both he and what's-his-face--Micheal's brother, I mean.

They might have a "no Spock cameo" rule for Discovery though, so Enterprise might have a different first officer, like this one: http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Number_One

They’ll probably have Pike in the view screen with Michael’s brother in the background, blurry, looking into his science station binocular thing.

The novel indicated that the crew if the Enterprise is wearing the proper TOS uniforms at this time. I wonder if the series will honor that.
Frankly I’m not a fan of these new uniforms. I have a hard time knowing which branch everyone is.

I find it pretty easy to tell the different departments apart.

I saw some people in the audience of the award ceremony wearing what looked liked blue turtle necks.

The 09 ENT grew on me after awhile, minus the hideous nacelles, but this looks way better and dare I say is within the current continuity. Can't bitch about that!

the council scene in paris with michael looking around with people clapping at her reminds me of the promotion of Kirk in ST 09.

It did kinda feel like that a little. This was much better then the scene in 09 I feel.

As long as it looks slightly like the Cage era version inside, I’ll be happy. I just don’t want the boring interiors of the Shenzhou and Discovery.

Then what is the not boring interior for you? Don't tell me the TOS model of bridge. That kind of interior that I hate the most because it's already aged too much for today TV show.

Not to throw a monkey wrench into any of this but do we know for a fact that there isn't a

Mirror Universe Captain Pike?

Because I would not put that idea past the producers of this show.
