USS Enterprise (eventually) on Discovery?

According to Memory-Alpha in 2257:

"The Shakespearian troupe Karidian Company of Players, sponsored by the Galactic Cultural Exchange Project, begins its tour of official installations."

Karidian was Kodos the Executioner in disguise.

They could totally mention that off hand for the people who know their lore.

That said, I really love the Kelvin timeline 1701-A because it pretty much corrects everything I hated about the JJprise. If the DSC Connie looks this good, I'll be pretty happy.

I'd laugh my ass off if they had this as the TOS Enterprise. And didn't even scrub the -A:lol:

While USS Farragut or USS Enterprise would be interesting for bringing in the potential of a younger Kirk or Spock (plus Enterprise is always a big draw), the outliner in this instance in USS Defiant, as that is the ship with an actual connection with the Mirror Universe, and thus a ship that can get a reaction out of the Emperor sitting the USS Discovery's command chair. To see her Empire's legacy starship 110 or so years younger than the last time she could have seen it....before it was rebuilt. Her Empire's legendary starship, while USS Enterprise is not quite legendary, yet, in the Federation (its getting there I suspect, both with Archer's ship, and under Captains April and Pike, but the true legendary status seems to be under the command of Captain Kirk).

There is also the heavily decorated Captain Matt Decker to consider. We don't know who was in command of USS Defiant during this time....since it likely wasn't the same captain who died ten years later before entering the Mirror Universe.

Just hope the Execs let Eaves design it without any input.. it's either gonna be awesome.. or extremely disappointing. Having flashbacks to 2009...

Yeah. I still haven't seen it myself. This is gonna be interesting. The purists are going to lose their minds no matter what, and point to the redesign as a reason it's "not prime universe!" "Visual reboot" is a concept lost on them.

I think it's gonna be big as well and its just a question of how much bigger, it will probably set off more claims of it not being the Prime timeline again, even if we do see an early view of Kirk (Farragut) or Pike (Enterprise).
