The only reason to give her a field promotion is that the bridge crew are ciphers except Saru. Dramatic purposes only.
idk, Riker got his own command and insubordination happened on a weekly basis on the E-DHas anything changed to excuse Burnham for mutiny? Nothing has. She attacked her Captain etc. She could do a zillion good deeds there after (and she hasn't) and her crime remains. She should be in prison serving her sentence. As soon as this crapola in the mirror universe is over, send the twit back to the mines to do her sentence.
Don't bother. This is a matter of black and white justice, don't ya know?idk, Riker got his own command and insubordination happened on a weekly basis on the E-D
You mean I don't have to mention Spock becoming Captain even though he has a long history of insubordination and physical attacks on his commander?Don't bother. This is a matter of black and white justice, don't ya know?![]()
Clearly those cases were different and don't affect Discovery since that was after the fact. Spock also did more good things. You mean I don't have to mention Spock becoming Captain even though he has a long history of insubordination and physical attacks on his commander?
ah, I see. well, then I will not mention it here and join the lynch mob. has anyone seen my pitchfork?Clearly those cases were different and don't affect Discovery since that was after the fact. Spock also did more good things.
It's over by the tar and pitch, just before the feathers.ah, I see. well, then I will not mention it here and join the lynch mob. has anyone seen my pitchfork?
commutation of sentence by a tribunal of bigwigs for her actions aboard Discovery, I'm guessing.I suppose the real question, is exactly what happens to give her back a rank?
of course they can...and would be right. she was sentenced for mutiny, which she clearly hadn't commited. that was a BS sentence in the first placeAdmiralty board can, but for what reason? Cannot just say we made the incorrect verdict.
Admirals admitting they were wrong? O_oAdmiralty board can, but for what reason? Cannot just say we made the incorrect verdict.
Sentences get commuted. My great grandfather got life for killing a couple of guys, one of them his best friend in a squabble. Back then in this state that meant work in the mines till you died. Family had to pitch in, sell his murkier business interests and make a donation to the governor's campaign. His pardon came in later in the the year. I'm not saying it would be anything that obvious but no doubt they'll find a way.Admiralty board can, but for what reason? Cannot just say we made the incorrect verdict.
