Cast the Characters of Trek Literature

It's really random and weird but for some reason I'm imagining the Cytherian Proctor, from TNG: Takedown looking like Bea Arthur and sounding like she did when she voiced the Fembot/Femputer in the Futurama episode Amazon Women in The Mood.

Just had a thought on casting for Gell Kamemor:

Jenn Colella. She's currently in the Broadway production of COME FROM AWAY (she plays an airline pilot). You can see her in this clip that they played during the Thanksgiving Day parade:

Side note: I am really excited about seeing this show (which I plan to do in Toronto next spring) and I highly recommend it. I haven't been this stoked to see a show in YEARS.

Is there any consensus for Choudhury? I scrolled through old posts a bit, and all I found was that David Mack envisioned the same actress who ended up playing the security chief on Discovery!

My suggestion was Janina Gavankar, and I think CrossCult actually used her as the inspiration for their cover depiction.

By the way, since I've been using Devna from TAS: "The Time Trap" as a recurring character in Rise of the Federation, it occurred to me a while back that The Flash's Candice Patton could make a pretty good live-action Devna.

After the "USS Callister" episode of Black Mirror, I now know that Jesse Plemons would make a great Adrik Thorsen (from the novel "Federation").

Better, I think, than Jeremy Irons who was my previous choice for the role. Looking back, I realize that Plemons would fit better for the younger bleach-blond type that they seemed to be going for with Thorsen.

As for Irons: I hereby recast him as Sir John Burke from the very same novel.

Is it just me, or did Jesse Plemons look like an off brand Matt Damon in that episode? I mean, he kind of always does, but he looked more so like that in this instance.

Also, is it weird that I always picture Hugh Laurie with long hair as Hugh Cambridge in the Full Circle-era Voyager books?

Edit: Apparently not! Just saw this in the Memory Beta article: "Hugh Cambridge was named for actor Hugh Laurie (whose role as Dr. Gregory House was a direct inspiration for the character) and Cambridge University, which Laurie attended (although Counselor Cambridge attended Cambridge's rival school, Oxford)."

After today's revelations, I'd like to get Morgan Freeman out of my head when I re-read Vanguard. Does anyone have a different actor in mind for Zeke Fisher?
