I love the way it cut's to Lorca screaming after showing Burnham and Tylers love scene. His face says it all 'Hey don't mind me, I'm in no hurry to get outta here.'
Even I forgot. They jumped to the agony booth scene and I was like "oh yeah, the torture."

Speaking of Saru, he seemed to sense something when Ash walked on the bridge. Of course the Vulcan ship attacked before he could do or say anything, but I'm thinking Saru's going to be the one that figures out Ash's secret.

Okay I get what you are saying. If the term saw is offensive then I retract the posts if people don’t like the mention of it. My posts aren’t meant to sexist but I’m pointing out that discovery is made differently to earlier Star Trek series and is to its detriment. I don’t mind good female characters but it should be believable and proportionate not done to further an agenda

Okay, I’ll bite.
The only “agenda” is representation.
Representation the reflects our reality.
Your mileage may vary on DSC, and that’s okay.

But to come in here with a MAGA like attitude criticizing the show solely on gender and then arguing the women should wear less, is offensive.

I don't really know what this is supposed to mean, but what I meant to say was that I will watch the episodes so that I can be negative about it. I can't really say - the episode is shit when I didn't see it. When I see it, then I can say that.

And by the way, aren't you all a bit too generous with the ratings? 10? You are saying that this is your favourite episode of all Trek? And I've seen many people rating Discovery 8-10. Really? You are saying that 10 out of 15 best trek episodes EVER are from Discovery?
Yep, I am saying that, anyway. And the first thing though, since you're asking us in general, I suppose, can I ask about your not supporting-but-still-watching DSC comment: will you be watching it in Canada, Netflix or just pirating it? Either way seems like effort and wasted time just to be Statler and Waldorf.

Kira isn’t a Terran crew member circa 2150s - 2260s although she is highly sexualised. Shame on the writers who created this character...
The open-belly NX-01 flightsuit looked silly. It's a flight suit. Why in the world would a flight suit have an exposed belly? The new uniforms look good. They look more TOS era Klingon than anything, which is good.

Well I’ve had 2 moderators pick at me because I don’t agree with their consensus. Moderators are in charge here and are threatening me because I don’t like how discovery is made.

As you're new here, a piece of advice. This kind of wounded crusader for the silent majority act never ends well. The moderators here regularly step in to protect minority opinions on Discovery - you are free to like, dislike, or anything in between. Agreeing with us is not required, and we don't even agree with each other.

However, you are not free to troll by use of the SJW/snowflake stuff, or through some 'mens rights' angst derail this thread. You've been told to knock it off by all three moderators, and told to take comments to PM. If you continue to ignore instructions, infractions will follow.

All comments to PM. Everybody else, don't feed the troll.

The old Mirror universe costumes for women and men were absurd, a product of the 1960s. It makes more sense for a fascist military based on backstabbing each other would wear something that looks like an uniform with armor on it. We really need to get over these obsessions with artistic decisions made 50 years ago. They just don't work anymore.

So did I in all honesty.
Now that I think about it, though, I wonder how they go about it with the whole agony booth thing? I mean, too much and the brain shuts down consciousness. Too little, and it's more like an annoyance than a punishment. Kind of interesting to look into, maybe.

Nerdgasm is enough for me to give this eight, although it was silly to no end. But hey since when that is a bad thing...
On some other points:

- When they were searching in MU Klingon ships, did someone else expect Cardassian corpses there?
- Kinda disappointed how they "recycled" Enterepise rebellion storyline. Although I suppose that plot from "Age of Empress" where Vulcans became equals of Terrans definitely didn´t really happen.
- Discovery very quickly learned about the MU setting from the database and did modifications in the montage. I´m not sure if I liked it or not.
- Was it just me, or does the MU of Discovery have quite Warhammerish feel?
- Please, show the real ISS Discovery, please!

The mentioned in some episode that the booth continually moves to new nerve clusters to keep the person in constant agony without going numb to it.

There seems to be a rather glaring flaw in the episodes logic, if Discovery and Mirror Discovery switched places Mirror Discovery would have appeared next to the Starbase, at which point Starfleet would have learned about the Mirror Universe.

Just because Kirk and crew didn't know about it doesn't mean Starfleet didn't know about it. Starfleet was researching the Borg before the Enterprise encountered them and were at least somewhat aware of them for centuries.

If you don't know what the "Mirror Universe" is, or haven't seen both the TOS episode with the Tholians AND the mirror episode from ENT, you still will somewhat get along with the plot of this episode. But you won't get much out of it.

A ship other than the Discovery crossed to that Parallel Reality they're in. And they're going to investigate this ship in order to understand how she got there. How is that a difficult concept to follow ? You don't really need to view ENT or TOS to comprehend that.

Imagine you're watching Fringe. Olivia and Walter cross over to the Red Universe, Walter does a bit of research and concludes: "Ha! There's another traveler from our reality here! Let's go see him". Easy peasy.

It's already hard enough for new viewers to get introduced into the whole Trek jargon and the fandom itself

How DSC's Mirror Universe is a jargon ? The Human Civilization succumbs to Fascism and when it goes out to explore space, they start enslaving and oppressing every Alien they see. It's not really a Star Trek niche thing. Any new viewer could easily get what the writers were trying to say. I mean, Humans spent most of its history doing what the Terran Empire does. It's not something only Trekkies can understand.

I'm not in Canada and I don't currently have Netflix subscription.

So...let me make sure I understand this correctly? Your goal is to watch a show that you don't like, so you can get angry about it and be disappointed by it...for the sole purpose of being well-informed so that you can go online, bitch about it, and get into arguments with a group of people who overwhelmingly disagree with you?

There isn't a single element of what I just wrote that sounds like an enjoyable experience.

So, yeah...it's odd bruh.

Yes, it was one of my favorite Treks I have seen. Different styles and approaches resonate differently with different people.
