    Kelvin Timeline sounds better in-Universe.

Plus jjverse always sounded like a mocking nickname to me

Also too attached to one creator. It's conceivable that other creators in the future could make movies or shows set in the KT, so it won't necessarily be linked to Abrams forever.

I liked Simon Grayson's casual line about snapping the neck of his reality's Khan. Aw yeah, that's long overdue.

Kelvin timeline is used in-universe by Timot Danlen in STO.

If we include the comics, the SFA novels, and the game, then we've already gotten a bunch of Kelvinverse stories Abrams wasn't involved with.

To be precise, "Timot Danlen" is not used in STO (for that matter, STO deals with time travel and physics in general differently). Doesn't the game treat "Daniels" as his real name?

And if we go by number of publications this should really be the JohnsonVerse since he wrote 60+ issues of the Kelvin timeline comic, of course all non-canon.

I was referring to canonical ones. Although you could say that Beyond is already a partial example, since Abrams only produced that one and others wrote and directed.

Oh, I was wondering about that -- hearing a name I coined mentioned in connection with STO.

Exactly. And because his real name was revealed by the novels, I go with that. Vice versa, that’s how we got the name of the Solanae.

Yeah but as you can see you confused some people when you did that, because he isn't called that in the game.

Speaking of novel names, STO combines Lucsly's two names from the books into one, making 'Adam' his middle name and 'Gariff' his first name.

Dulmur however doesn't, he's just Marion Frances Dulmur.

Oh, so some of my coinages do get used in STO. Okay.

Your argument makes sense. Sorry. I tend to be inclusive in my mental continuity.

Which is weird considering they don't use those names in the game's prequel novel.
Then again they have ignored other story aspects of the novel.

That's not weird at all, since the prequel novel came out a year before my first DTI novel. Also because it wasn't done by the STO creators; it was done by Mike Martin based on whatever background material the STO people sent him. I'm sure they had approval over his manuscript, but they were free to disregard it, as is usually the case with tie-ins.

Mike Johnson had been super quiet over twitter for a little while now (december-january), I hope everything is alright with the guy.

Maybe TPTB had a talk with him about saying we haven’t seen the last of the Kelvin timeline, so he lays low for now. /speculation

not gonna lie, I thought about that too. I just told myself to not read too much into it, but still.

Kelvin Timeline came to be because of its introduction into STO. Daniels refers to it as that in the JJVerse level where you go to that said universe to help the USS Yorktown against the Sphere Builders.
It’s a good mission but the dialogue doesn’t make sense if you go into it using the JJPrise or Vengeance. They really need to add some dialogue branches.

I'm not positive, but I think the Okudas actually came up with it for the updated Encyclopedia before they used it in STO.
