I want to see the Andorian of discovery!

Andorians only have two sexes, their marriages are composed of four individuals

The shows have never established how many sexes Andorians have.

Yes, Data's only comment was that their marriages typically require groups of four, but there is absolutely nothing in canon that precludes there really being four Andorian genders.

Cruising through the Andromeda galaxy. This shit's writing itself. Toss in something to do with the Kazon. It's been twenty years since we saw them, they count as nostalgic now, don't they?

Don't forget Spock's never heard of before daughter! Gotta add something new that makes no sense.

Like his never heard before brother until it was needed as a plot device? The character is not known for talking about his family. Watch the shows and movies.

And Bones never heard before daughter until TAS? Doctor gets divorced and leaves his young daughter on Earth to follow Kirk around the galaxy for 50 years. McCoy is a deadbeat dad.

Can you point to where I've ever said I considered Sybok a good idea?
You don't need to, like him or not he is canon lol. And I liked the character but dsliked the movie.
The point is, its normal for the TOS characters to never mention their relatives, until they show up on the tv screen.

I think it is a bit different when you try to tack on a character 25 or 50 years after the show has went off the air. It reeks of an inability to make the new character(s) interesting in their own right.

Could you imagine the outcry of sheer laziness if JJ Abrams had attempted such a stunt?

You mean Spock screaming 'Khaaaaaaan!' was not lazy enough?:guffaw:(Funniest Star Trek scene in history....so far)

Probably referring to that line, or Mudd’s helmet.

So you reckon they were making Andorian antennae (ie. Bryan Fuller's Tweet pic of antennae) in the makeup workshop 12 months before the premiere of Season One in order to not put Andorians into an episode until Season Two, which hasn't even started filming yet?

Andorians only have two sexes...

That has never been specifically established in canon.

It was a make up test.

It’s possible the story was scrapped.

Hahahahahaha. 'Cos they always make elaborate and specific makeup appliances and then scrap the whole story. Why are you so resistant to believing we will see an Andorian onscreen in Season One?

'Cos they always make elaborate and specific makeup appliances and then scrap the whole story.

It isn't unheard of. It is called a test for a reason.

I'm not resistant to the idea, I'd love to see an Andorian on DSC this season. Not sure where you got that idea from.

Wasn't there some bug like officer on the bridge with two antennae?

I still want to see TOS era Benzites with a more primitive solution to the breathing problem.

Apparently Benzar is under Klingon control now.
