Jodie Whittaker is the 13th Doctor

Oh, I want the Doctor to be in a swimsuit on a resort planet (one-piece or two piece, it doesn't matter) in an episode. ;)

It'd be the dorkiest, most unflattering one-piece since Annette Funicello last went to a beach party.

Come to think of it, it could turn out to BE Annette's.

Here's what I meant:

Did you want this for all of the previous Doctors?

Yes (Eccelston, Tennant & Smith in particular.) ;)

Radio Times reports that Matt Smith says he wants to team up with Jodie Whittaker, when the time is right. “I think we’ve gotta give a few years to Miss Whittaker to get the TARDIS under her belt, as it were, and then yeah – one day.”

Since Matt Smith is my favorite modern-era Doctor, I look forward to such a meeting. Hopefully brings Rory and his predecessor along, too. ;)

As long as he doesn't bring Jenna Coleman with him, I'd love to see Matt Smith team up with the new Doctor eventually. Really, I just want to see Matt Smith as The Doctor again in any team up.

Well, one thing we can be thankful to Time of the Doctor for is that since the Eleventh Doctor ages all they way to being elderly before he regenerates, Matt Smith can come back at any time and we won't have to worry about him being too old like we do all the others.

As far as we know, he never left the planet in those 900(?) years.

I Bolden/Italicized/Underlined the important part of that sentence

He wouldn't leave those people unprotected, even for a little while. Maybe if he thought he could get the TARDIS to cooperate and come back instantly, but that's always a gamble.

Perhaps between the time he made the phone call & Clara came across the TARDIS?

It's a TV show called Doctor Who... for those that care about "But, how would it be possible for the Doctor to leave all those people unprotected?" there will be some sort of hand waving explanation. For those that don't, because it's a terrible story anyway, it doesn't really matter how the team up with Old Man Smith and whatever Doctor happens.

Plus, they can ignore TotD if they can't handwave it away because of something like what happened in Time crash. Or they could just ignore age differences, like when the 2nd Doctor and Jaime were old in The two Doctors but its never addressed.

Ditto for Five Doctors. It's doesn't need to be explained.

I would much rather it be ignored than some technobabble that strains the mind. Seriously, do we need to know why Matt Smith is older? We all understand that aging happens.

Yeah. I'm usually all for explanations over ignoring obvious things, but in cases like this is not an issue for me. Its The Doctor, age for him is weird.

Who says if Smith returns he'd have to be his 11th/12th technically, incarnation. When the doctor revisits a few of the old faces. Like The Curator, the Doctor could wear older bodies and if aged, it wouldn't matter. Its a new body in the regeneration cycle, it just looks like a previous incarnation, but not exact. As 10 said, it's a lottery.
