Given that Kol made off with the only remaining Klingon ship with a cloaking device, this would fit neatly. I like this. The cloaking device, which now belongs to Kol, remains with House Kor and is the only one available to Klingons for decades, until Kor reverse-engineers it. From DS9 Once More Unto the Breach:
KOR: Well, there's not much to tell really. The battle was over almost before the Federation knew it had begun. I commanded the first division from the Klothos, one of the old D Five cruisers. Kang commanded the second division. Now, you must remember that in those days, the cloaking device was a new piece of technology. There were only a handful of engineers in the Imperial Fleet who knew how to operate them. Before we left Chronos, I spent three days in the engine room taking the device apart with my bare hands and then putting it back together again. Now this would come in handy later in the battle, as you'll see.
And they'll zoom in to show his cells reacting to it all, before the cut to another shot of Burnham looking moody.I speculate that at some point we will see the amazing phenomenon of Ripper shrinking into a tiny little dehydrated granule to survive extreme conditions, just like a real water bear.
It will be a spectacular, award-winning visual effects extravaganza.

Harry Mudd joins the crew of Discovery, Lorca utilizes his nefarious ways.
I guess I was wrong about only one Mudd episode. We've had one episode now and still haven't seen all his scenes from the earlier trailers.I don't think so, because of this:
http://www.startrek.com/article/interview-discovery-showrunner-aaron-harberts
Which implies Harry Mudd only appears in one episode.
For Mudd, I meant the pre-release trailers. Like this one:So what will hasn't happened in this trailer yet?
What I can see:
- The scenes on the planet, including both Burnham and Saru in a forest and a longshot of it
- more Mudd, or was it all from last week
- the Vulcan martial arts (next week, given Sarek's collapse being previewed on After Trek?), possibly on the same planet as above?
- Admiral Cornwall with Klingons & fighting L'Rell (same ep?)
- Burnham fighting Kol on the sarchophagus ship
- both Kol and she finding Georgeiou's insignia (same ep, presumably, as Burnham and he fighting?)
- Kol screaming to the sky (ditto?)
- Lorca in armour sliding and shooting
- Burnham and Tyler returning from away mission bloodied.
So, in last night's episode...I speculate that at some point we will see the amazing phenomenon of Ripper shrinking into a tiny little dehydrated granule to survive extreme conditions, just like a real water bear.
It will be a spectacular, award-winning visual effects extravaganza.

I see the Wikipedia entry for the latest episode states that the mirror oddity shows Stamets is a clone who is leading a double life.
I confess that I missed the moment entirely and haven't had a chance to go back to rewatch, but am I right in assuming that is wild speculation?
I'll jump to the end of the season for this, as I see it was discussed recently in another thread, - meaning Lorca's fate:
They'll make him a Commodore, still a captain of his own ship, which is essentially what I call "Admiral in command", because imo it's what this rank really is. Also fan service to the TOS knowledgeable people again(but coming naturally).
Back to the normal "upcoming episodes" speculation routine.
Have I revealled yet that Tilly is a(nother) Klingon spy?![]()
