I got some contacts and managed to get a snippet of a script from an upcoming episode... Looks like you guys are right!
INT, DISCOVERY BRIDGE, DAY.
LT TYLER is holding a phaser aimed at BURNHAM and CAPT LORCA. He seems torn, twisted. A man who has just made a fateful choice and have to live with it. He hesitates, then lowers the phaser slightly.
TYLER: “We will rendezvous with Klingon ships in an hour. You’ll be free to join the rest of the crew in the rescue pods in a few minutes. But I first need to tell you something. You rescued my life twice captain, I owe you that much.”
BURNHAM: “It’s not too late my love! I don’t know what mountains of madness that drove you to this, but we can take a shuttle craft and escape!”
TYLER: “Oh Michael, if it was only so simple... You see, my name isn’t Tyler: Heroic but dark and broody former prisoner of war. My REAL name is Voq, son of none. A Klingon who with the help of surgery and a Klingon mind crushing device was able to perfectly imitate one of your kind. I stole this ship for my people. I have no regrets over that. But stealing your heart Michael Burnham, that was not part of the plan. And for that I apologize. And will regret every day the rest of my life.
BURNHAM: “Tyler, Voq, what’s the difference. Its your tender heart I love, not the shell it came with. Let me come.”
LORCA: “Wait, for you are not the only one with a terrible secret.” (LORCA looks at MICHAEL BURNHAM.) “Or a heartache as deep as the galactic void.”.
LORCA pulls of a mask. The face under it is Vulcan and reminds us of someone.
LORCA: “You may know me as Captain Lorca, the fearless warrior who cares not for rules and regulations. But that’s not who I’ve always been. Once I was just a young Vulcan who fell in love with a human girl the first time he saw her. But I had to hide my true identity to try and win your heart, because my love was so forbidden and shameful. Don’t deny your feelings Michael. Just know that it wasn’t Captain Lorca who held you close and kissed you. It’s not Lorca who whispered ‘I love you’ when I thought we were both going to die. It is I, SPOCK, your half brother you spent so many hours with, when we both were mere children.”
BURNHAM looks from TYLER/VOQ to LORCA/SPOCK trying to listen to her heart, but unable to make up her mind. ORGAN MUSIC STARTS PLAYING AS THE CAMERA SLOWLY ZOOMS OUT.
