Captain Georgiou is alive. The Klingons revived her and she's their captive. Micheal isn't going to take the news well.

I too suspect that this is the case. Leaving back the body was really conspicuous. At least they're leaving the door open in case they want to bring her back.

Some more speculation ... Lorca takes the Discovery into the Mirror universe to steal technology to use in the war, a reverse of what happened in that mirror DS9 episode.
