Star Trek Voyager Desktop Wallpapers

I love Neelix's expression in that poster! :D

@TE, I wouldn't say Tom & BLT is the greatest couple in film, but I like your argument for them.
Not sure myself who I would say. I'd have to think about that. It certainly isn't Rose & Jack. I've wondered how spoiled little Rose got along after rejecting her mother and fiancé in that time period. We know she marries and has children and a life with her husband, but then when she dies, it isn't her husband, but Jack she wants to see--? :vulcan:
I will say Ilsa and Bogart's character in "Casablanca" comes to mind as a memorable couple, although they don't stay together. The nobility of their self-sacrifice is impressive. Mmm, I'll have to think about great film couples...

Oh well ... they are the perfect couple for me. I really mean it when I say they are the best in the history of filmmaking. This is how I feel about them.
And as for couples on films ... a definite NO as far as I'm concerned. Or even to characters. Films are simply too short to flesh out a character. You can only get to know characters if they are shown in various different situations and only tv shows are suitable for this. Jack and Rose might have been a charming couple on Titanic ... but God knows what their relationship would have been like had Jack survived. We know hardly anything about them ... a couple of months later their relationship might not even have existed any more after realizing that what drove them into each other's arms was the extreme circumstances under which they met. But those circumstances were over after a few days ... and once they recovered (emotionally) from the shock, they might have realized what an unsuitable match they were.
Of course, the opposite might have been true as well ... The idea is that we don't know.
However, we do see the personal development for Tommyboy and B'Elanna ... and how they stay together in spite of the occasional bumps on the road. Their characters are fleshed out really well ... and with their daughter born in the last moments of the show you really don't have the impression that this relationship will come to an end just because the extreme circumstances under which they have been living for the last seven years cease to exist. In the episodes we often see how much they care about/for each other, how important both of them think that their relationship is ... so yes, the best couple since they started making films in my book.

Not sure I can agree with you about B'Elena/Tom but I appreciated to read your arguments. :techman:

Kes can look so pixie like pretty.
I've always thought of her as someone who is very pretty. She brought a lot of warmth and gentleness to the show - I wish she had been kept to the end. Even more I wish that if they decided to get rid of her, that horrible FURY had never been shot.
A beautiful poster of the crew (including Jennifer Lien)

I really like this one - it's a shame it's not in a wallpaper format. In this way I can't use it as a desktop image on my PC.
But this one is really nice and really good Photoshop work as well. Nowadays you can see all sorts of VOY fan art on the Internet and people keep including Kes more and more frequently in the pictures. She nearly always appears in my wallpapers when I make one with the whole crew.

Well then ... what do you two have against Tommyboy and B'elanna? I am listening ...

As I already wrote it, I have nothing negative to say about the couple formed by Tom and B'Elena. They are cute together and above all, they are the only ones in Star Trek history to make it from the romantic date to the wedding then to the birth of their child. They made better than Jadzia/Wolf, so :techman:

And although, both won a way to redemption and to mature, I keep thinking that as individuals, this romance killed something in them, especially Tom who, lost that appealing little flame of madness and exuberance which were his trademark -> this guy who was maybe too exuberant but independent, ‎accustomed to fend for himself, finally let eaten by his relationship with B'Elena at the point to live only for his new collective, as Seven would have said, but what about him?! In short, at the end, Tom Paris became boring!

As for B'Elena Torres, I feel quite uncomfortable to talk about her as individual because well, I really have not managed to hang with her. I don't know if it was the characterization (*) or Dawson's acting or both...

(*) She is loyal to her friends and‎ gifted in her field of Engineer but her short tempered and a certain form of jealousy towards Seven in a ‎conspicuous manner in first seasons then, more in reserve afterwards (but still present and alive at the slightest provocation/situation where the Seven would top her), was damned gear and it ended up to annoy me.
-> for me, and sorry to say that, but B'Elena Torres is, with Harry Kim, one of the characters who had the least evolved..

As for B'Elena's loyalty, I have a question: In first seasons, it is clear that she was 100% TeamChakotay but, what about after? In The Voyager Conspiracy, when Chakotay asked B'Elena not to inform Janeway of recent reports, we saw her troubled though she almost immediately defended Janeway (even if she ended to obey to the FO) so, IF a crisis situation followed by a conflict between the both commanding officers had to happen, what could she do (knowing that Tom would surely join Janeway)? What side would she join? :)

@TE, I echo Ghislaine. I have nothing against Tom & B'Elanna. In fact they have grown on me as I have re-watched the series. They are a very good TV/scifi/Star Trek couple. (and I think they both showed growth and maturity. IMO that didn't detract, but added to both characters) But you did create a pretty high standard in proclaiming them "the greatest couple in film history" (or words close to that). That takes in a lot of territory, there have been a lot of film/movie/TV couples. In that sense, I'm not ready to put them at the pinnacle, though I'm not sure who I would put there, if any. Have to think about that.

@ Ghislaine, good question about which way would B'lenna and Tom go if there had been a conflict and split between Janeway and Chakotay in such a way that it affected the entire crew! I've actually mused about the question as I have mulled over possible fanzine scenarios. I think both would be quite torn. For B'Elanna, Chakotay has saved her life, and both Chakotay and Janeway have given her opportunities to excel. She does feel loyalty to both. Tom's loyalty might be more inclined towards Janeway, but I think his first loyalty at this point would be to his wife and to his family, and what would be in their best interest. I actually think Tom & B'Elanna could end up functioning as kind of "double agents", and that they very likely would work with others to heal whatever the rift might be.

Okay then. So the two of you still can't name a couple that would be a more perfect one than Tom and B'elanna.
But I'm still open to suggestions ...

I think you are right. More than them taking sides, one over the other.

Neelix and Phlox would get along well I think
Yeah, both of them are a little weird, at least at the beginning of their shows. Not bad weird ... just weird. But both of them are warm-hearted and gentle.
Mind you I haven't seen much of ENT ... and I don't intend to. The little I saw years ago was ... boring.

No, I don't, sorry. Voyager is like it's just put on the picture without being blended in ... In this way, it is no part of the picture, the layers aren't blended together ... You can see that this is simply three layers mixed together whereas Voyager should have been blended in with the other layers as if it belonged there. This is sloppy Photoshop work, sorry. The idea is nice but the execution is less so ...
I like the picture!

I did something similar once, back in 1998. I think I still have it on some old computer.

Janeway really gets to the heart of what's important, black coffee.:D
Janeway really knows summarize à la perfection (and in Janeway's style, of course!), a tense situation! ;-)
I love her! :-D
Hi girls! So you really appreciate our beloved Captain's simple but efficient solution to the problem? It seems that this kind of thing works in most situations - be it resolving a problem or just diffusing a conflict. Janeway herself mentions in HUNTERS that she'd even defeated the Borg with the help of coffee. People here often keep complaining about how Seven's nanoprobes seemed to work like a panacea. They are wrong! The real panacea on ST VOY was black coffee, not the nanoprobes ... Apparently even nebulae contain coffee in the Delta Quadrant.

Hi Lynx! Where have you been hiding recently? :) And where's that picture of yours? Share it with the rest of the world then.
I want that jacket Chakotay is wearing for the upcoming winter! :techman:
All fingers crossed. Perhaps you should write an email to CBS/Paramount - they might have it in one of their storehouses somewhere. I guess it isn't needed by anyone these days any longer so maybe you could have it.
As for me, I prefer something more colourful than that. I'm sure that jacket is functional ... just not visually pleasing enough ... Not for me anyway.
Yes!
Kes! :techman:

In fact, this picture contains my top three Voyager characters.
The result of the Lynx Planet Popularity Poll: Gold medalist Kes flanked by silver medalist Chakotay and bronze medalist Janeway.
Lynx Planet? Where in the galaxy (or outside :D) is that? Coordinates please. I might pop in if you are willing to welcome guests. But only if it's not a hostile planet (climatewise). Something like the one the 37's lived on. That seemed like a pleasant enough place.
