I agree, Janeway became very angry after Ransom and his crew attacked Voyager's occupants (killing & hurting some of them) while these latter just try to help; kidnapped Seven, ready to kill her in the worst way it is) and stole some essential equipment to survive... but while we should see her in an angry/furious mood, we just see her reading a padd. :sigh:.

So, Thomas Eugene, allow me to correct you and show you how Janeway looks like when she is angry/furious! :D

I'm very partial to the ones with the starry background and that certain shade of purple.
Glad you like it. You're like a friend of mine, she loves all my wallpapers with this colour (and she is very keen on anything that's lavender :)). There are quite a few made with this shade of purple for PATHFINDER. There'll be one with Troi and one with Barclay ... although now that you mention it, I think the shade might be slightly darker ... but only slightly ...
I hope not to have upsetted you with my comment, Thomas Eugene... . If that's the case, I'm really sorry. :sigh:
There's absolutely nothing to be sorry about, no panic. It takes a little more to hurt me - I just couldn't come here yesterday. Carry on with commenting on my pictures - you were actually right, Janeway doesn't particularly look angry in that one. However, I don't necessarily think the captions and the pictures have to match in every single instance. Often, the idea is that the images and the quotation on the wallpaper conjure up the atmosphere of a certain episode. This was also the case with the wallpaper above ... But like I said, I understand your comment.
For fairness' sake though, Janeway doesn't make the impression that she is particularly happy while looking at the padd. In fact, she makes the impression that she could explode any time if you say the word "Ransom" to her ... :D

And for today here's Neelix to all of you, Neelix fans:

I like it! They needed to adapt a Gothic mystery for a Voyager episode. Strange shrieking can be heard down in the bowels of the ship... Although I suppose the Haunting of Deck 12 might be seen somewhat in that light.

You know, I think the actress that played the creepy housekeeper in Janeway's gothic holo-novels also played a creepy housekeeper in an episode of Quantum Leap (the episode being like a Gothic mystery and called A Portrait for Troian). She also played a Romulan commander once on TNG in the episode Contagion. And an alien scientist in the episode First Contact.

Oooh.. like the background/s. Actually the ghosting and black and white mixed with the colour.

Thanks, everyone. Although I'm a bit surprised you liken it to THE HAUNTING OF DECK TWELVE - but I suppose each to their own. To me there isn't a single ep that would be more boring (in spite of its title) ... but that's just me probably.

Thanks, CM.
And for today, here are Janeway and Chakotay from TIMELESS:

Oh yes, the 2 parts episode where older Chakotay & Harry Kim (who has since become a civilian) deliberately breached Prime Directive to correct a error of judgment (committed by an overconfident Enseign Harry Kim), which killed the whole crew .... What an irony that almost 30 years later, the same Harry, became Captain, ‎went to lecture Admiral Janeway, on a situation which resembled in all aspects to what he had lived once... and that should have him back in memory! ;-p

By the way, an excellent episode where Garrett Wang & Robert Beltran's acting was decent! And the frist time on 2 occasions where we learnt Seven's death! :-O

TIMELESS is not a two-parter, it is just a single episode.
And as for Harry ... is it the same Harry Kim in ENDGAME as in TIMELESS? Time had inevitably been mixed up (on multiple occasions) by the end of Voyager ... and it is difficult to say who is who any more ... :D I for once don't like ENDGAME for Janeway's decision but since she is undoubtedly my fav character (ever), I try to attribute her behaviour to Admiral Janeway, trying to find comfort in the fact that she was a different person from Captain Janeway and that my "goddess" is the Captain, not the Admiral ...

I know, it's cold comfort ... but that's how I feel about it.

Thank you, Thomas Eugene, to have correct me, it was effectively a single episode (but I liked it so much that - well, maybe not at this point but, it was a pretty good story, I have to admit it! :-) It was just a pity producers thought it was a good idea to refill the dish with Endgame!
-> the story's core being about this future Harry (in Timeless)/Janeway (in Endgame), who have lived with the guilt of failing their crew every day since. Now they are determined to change history—erasing the past 15 for him/26 years for her —to save Voyager from its fate. Both future Harry and Janeway are painted as guilt-ridden to the point of obsession, what changed persons, both in ideology and attitude. Gone are the characters we had to learn and liked through the seasons, both became weathered, sullen, impatient people who will do whatever it takes to give themselves a second chance in the past. You see, the same course : both risk to be prosecuted with conspiracy to break the Temporal Prime Directive and both died at the end .

I see only one but major difference, Harry's counter stopped at the rank of ensign before resigning his Starfleet commission, while Janeway stayed in Starfleet's lap and was even promoted Admiral! Well, it's not "Everybody loves Raymond" seriex but a "Poor Harry!" show! It's a bit cruel but well, it's Harry! ;-)

Oh, I could have added that the episode has been directed by LeVar Burton and has marked the series' 100th episode. :-D

And second thing I wanted to add. While a lot of people critized Adm.Janeway for her decision to erase the past 26 years (and I guess, Harry's decision got the same reception), Capt. LaForge (LeVar Burton) understood (and maybe even supported without being able to say it clearly, hence the "good luck" at the end of Chakotay/Laforge's discussion) the reasons for doing what Harry/Chakotay and potentially Adm. Janeway are doing, even mentioning that he might be doing the same thing in their positions - a sentiment I thought had a bit more impact on the viewer given the fact that we know LaForge and his (at least former) crew and can imagine LaForge doing everything he can for the old TNG crew.
And despite what Cpt Harry Kim of USS Rhode Island said to Adm. Janeway, I'm pretty sure that he would have done the same if he has lived the same situation!
