Scruffy-looking untitled Han Solo film thread

I love Han Solo, but I'm not wild about this movie. I always thought Han spent his life up to ANH in the grimy smuggler rat race, and ANH is the point where his life finds a higher purpose for the first time.

The only way I see his character arc working is if he starts the movie not jaded, and ends the movie as the jaded Han we see in ANH. But I personally don't care about that arc ymmv.

I have a feeling that if this movie is successful they'll do more Han Solo movies, so I don't expect this one to end so soon before ANH.

I don't know ... modern Disney that doesn't quite take the chances it used to, and look at the reports the film the previous directors were going to make.

But of course after RO, there's room for benefit of the doubt.

Yeah, but imo that would be the 'best' thing they could do, and I'm not enamored with it.

Given that Star Wars was retitled into Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope after its release, based on precedent I'm gonna have to say that you're probably right.
