Scruffy-looking untitled Han Solo film thread

Well that will confuse the hell out of a lot of people that don't watch the cartoons.
Yep, that got me. First questioned when the movie was set, but to be pre-Ep1 would make Han like 50 during ANH, so no good. Plus needs to be more recent for there to be an Empire in the first place. Then maybe just another guy from same race. But no, he used the force to fly a lightsaber over to him, so pretty much him. Had to look it up to figure it out...

Which legs does he have? He had the regular one at the end of clone wars, but I haven't seen the rebel episodes he's in.

..but I loved the chicken legs.

The same ones he wears at the time he's holding court on Mandalore and has his confrontation with Sidious.

And if you've seen TCW and Rebels it's not even an anachronism. The people in the audience it was aimed at or who at least wouldn't mind or be bugged by it were entertained.

The rest can use Google and get up to speed.

I can just take it for what it is, an indication that Kira is going to be involved in Imperial shenannigans of some sort.

I saw the movie last night. I found it most satisfactory. I hope we get at least one follow-up movie.

I liked the reference to Teras Kasi, and that they kept something of Han's backstory as an Imperial recruit.

It was pretty cool to see the different facets of the Imperial Army too.

I'd like to see more of these, but with this kind of box office it doesn't seem too likely.

Which is not so bad - one decent movie that's not the usual blockbuster cookie-cutter crap is worth more than a franchise full of business-as-usual, and Solo qualifies as the former.

I also liked seeing how Han's Kessel Run achievement played out. Of course, Han rounded down to claim an even figure of twelve parsecs, and by the time of ANH, he was claiming "less than twelve parsecs."

Which is fantastic, in my opinion.

I loved how the movie was filled with fun little Easter eggs and call-backs that did not stick out and detract from the story, or make it inaccessible to casual viewers who aren't too familiar with the huge body of Star Wars lore.

That, for me, is where the film excelled. I am not the biggest Han Solo or Millennium Falcon fan. This film really gave me a lot of insight in to the heart and depth of Han and where he came from, while being incredibly exciting and entertaining. A good balance of heart and action, and a lot of little bits that made me go "Oh, that's why..." Lot of fun.

Han's failure to save Qi'ra from herself and her indebtedness to the criminal underworld can help explain why he was at first so reluctant to fall too hard for Leia after they first meet on the original Death Star. He's downright hostile at times and dismissive of her wants and feelings after he and Luke rescue her, but gradually warms to the Princess as the mission to destroy the battle station unfolds and the Rebels actually pull it off. He loved Qi'ra so deeply when they were on Corellia that losing her to her destiny must have been a pretty significant blow to his willingness to reach out and express his affections for anybody who wasn't a Wookiee co-pilot.
