Well that will confuse the hell out of a lot of people that don't watch the cartoons.
Yes.... yes it did.

Yep, that got me. First questioned when the movie was set, but to be pre-Ep1 would make Han like 50 during ANH, so no good. Plus needs to be more recent for there to be an Empire in the first place. Then maybe just another guy from same race. But no, he used the force to fly a lightsaber over to him, so pretty much him. Had to look it up to figure it out...Well that will confuse the hell out of a lot of people that don't watch the cartoons.
tssk... that was so low.Now if only the film had legs!
Yes.... yes it did.
It was pretty cool to see the different facets of the Imperial Army too.I saw the movie last night. I found it most satisfactory. I hope we get at least one follow-up movie.
I liked the reference to Teras Kasi, and that they kept something of Han's backstory as an Imperial recruit.

Which is fantastic, in my opinion.I also liked seeing how Han's Kessel Run achievement played out. Of course, Han rounded down to claim an even figure of twelve parsecs, and by the time of ANH, he was claiming "less than twelve parsecs."

That, for me, is where the film excelled. I am not the biggest Han Solo or Millennium Falcon fan. This film really gave me a lot of insight in to the heart and depth of Han and where he came from, while being incredibly exciting and entertaining. A good balance of heart and action, and a lot of little bits that made me go "Oh, that's why..." Lot of fun.I loved how the movie was filled with fun little Easter eggs and call-backs that did not stick out and detract from the story, or make it inaccessible to casual viewers who aren't too familiar with the huge body of Star Wars lore.
