Gene Roddenberry use science when he made star trek that a lot of things in star trek has become real and has gone beyond what he dream of so to be true to star trek dream of a better tomorrow one such use the same ways as it creator did or it shames the dreamer dream how can one do that ?

Star trek is Gene Roddenberry creation and how he created star trek with all he could dream of but he also talked with scientists too for information about different aspects of space travel and theories of advancements many fields of scientific development in each then added to the star trek legacy. Canon may have many points to it but with Gene Roddenberry dream and work you be following something else. He always add science into he dream of a better tomorrow so why does anyone discount the science that was used and should be used with the advancements that has happened and will happen

Most of Star Trek's science is dodgy at best and fantasy at worst.

    No.

They're both in the same Mirror Universe, that is fact. End.

Perhaps. But if you had to choose between accurate science, or exciting episode, which would you really pick? ;)

The science got tossed any time it interfered with the story.

You realize that Roddenberry was the man in charge of the show, and rewrote many of the scripts?

Yes Roddenberry did rewrites after all it was his creation and he could rewrite it his dream of a better tomorrow but some of the writers today only use Star Trek as a war zone of the mind because only half-science is used and some science that's out of date

"Half science" is a Star Trek staple. No idea what a "war zone of the mind" is.

    It was his creation
War zone of the mind to me is when science is half used in one way and the same science is used in a different directions in the same story

Ah, Roddenberry worship. We've all been there, drank the Kool-Aid and then came to our senses once we did research on the man.

If I were you, I'd start with Inside Star Trek by Herb Solow and Bob Justman.

When they use space travel measurements and have to many ways of going in space or things in space get two or more names and with each name a different ways of how it works used the same scientific statements
