Where are all the "TOS" character's during "Discovery" time period?

If they ever did want to do a crossover where are or do you think they might be. I'm not good with keeping up with stardates or anything but I think it might be like this:

1 KIrk: Posted to the Faragut. If not maybe still at the Academy. If you see him you might get a good chance of also seeing Gary MItchell,Captain Garrovick,Finnegan or Carol Marcus. Maybe even David as a baby.
2 Spock: We know he is on the Enterprise with Pike.
3 McCoy: Not sure about a posting. Maybe with the aliens from "Fridays Child." I think he might also be married with a daughter but i'm not sure if that i canon. If not maybe with Nancy Carter being called "plum."
4 Scotty: We know he served on other ship's as a chief engineer and I think it was things like cargo ships and things of that sort.
5 Sulu: Have no idea but we do know he was a scientist before becoming a helmsmen. Also would be intrested in seeing if they made Prime Sulu as being gay like in the Kelvin Universe.
6 Uhura: Also not sure where she might be posted. It would be nice if her first name was finally established in the Prime universe.
7Chekov: He was so young I would think he would have to be in grade school during this time.

Now that you mention that line about Picard talking about the Stargazer I think you are right. I wonder if he might have been on the Enterprise at this time but not as chief engineer.

For the purposes of plot, they'll be nearby. They could even give Kirk, Spock or anyone else a temporary assignment to the USS Shenzhou or USS Discovery which they just never brought up in conversation during TOS.

I can see Spock being involved with the show in later seasons, since Sarek is and Amanda was pretty much confirmed by Bryan Fuller ages ago. I'd love to see Sybok show up!

I doubt they'll show much of the original TOS crew in the first season. Maybe some of the backdrop characters like Pike or April make a quick quest appearance. We already know about Sarek and Amanda. Or rather Amanda rumors. If any of the other "main" characters show up, it probably won't be until the 2nd or 3rd season. And if the show lasts that long, considering the timeline of the show, you know damn well a few of them will eventually show up.

If the time is actually 10 years prior to the first episode of TOS - the incidents depicted in "The Cage" (and the visit to Talos IV) - happened 2 years prior to the 'start' of the ST: D Trailer.

Three years before he was on the Enterprise, at the time of Discovery he's likely still with Pike, but still on the Enterprise ... who knows.
