A young star has been seen having episodes of dimming. The star is RIK-210 and it is around 472 light-years away from the Earth. A star will sometimes dim whenever an object would pass by it. That is how some planets have been found, by the dimming to causes to the star as it passes in front of it.
However, there is no planet near RIK-210 to explain for its dimming. It also doesn't have any nearby star that might cause it to be dim. RIK-210 is said to be around five to ten million years old and half as massive as the Sun.

The light curve variations of KIC - 8462 could be attributed to the remnants of late stage planet formations or an enshrouded protoplanet with an extended tail which are also theories that surround RIK-210 as well.
Not all alien mega structures would be neccessarily comprised of steel. An alien language could also be a mega structure.

The closest sun is RIK-210 at approx 470 light years from Earth.
In all three mysteries the numbers, 0,1,2,4,6 and 8 are present in the first three and four numerical values.
All of these stars have dims that have increase mysteriously that much like the wavelength of sound can converted into sight at the speed of light.
Going back to the Golden Record and how a record is made. Each sound that is recorded on a record has left and right wave channel that the stylus travels across to create the desired the sound. If the light curves of the three suns listed above are treated like the wave channels where the length, depth and distance are converted into wave channels and a stylus then travels through both left and right wave channels then a message might be present that an advanced alien civilization is using to try and communicate with humanity.
The link below shows a record and stylus at 1,000 times magnification. If you look close enough at the outside edges of the wave channels a 2D wavelength is formed that is very much similar to how a light curve of a sun would look in 2D.

KIC 8462 does not have a wobble.
A wobble is a sure sign that a large planet similar to Jupiter is orbiting the sun which causes the sun to wobble due to the gravitational interactions.
With KIC 8462 having a wobble then a better determination of a Jupiter sized planet or larger planet being present could be used to suggest that the increase in the decrease of the light curve of KIC 8462 could be the result of a planet. But since there isn't a wobble in KIC 8462 then the solar system of KIC 8462 would most likely not contain any Jupiter sized planets in orbit around KIC 8462.
However smaller planets the size of Earth to Neptune could still be present in orbit around KIC 8462.
KIC 8462 also does present itself as YSO Dipper. However KIC 8462 is not a young stellar object but does have a similar dimming pattern to EPIC 204278916.

What might be taking place place at KIC 8462 is that because the sun exhibits a similar dim in it's light curve to that of a YSO Dipper is that the star itself might be experiencing an age reduction to a YSO Dipper age star as well as possibly having planets orbiting it.
Age reduction of a star to a YSO Dipper star could be the result of the sun's core producing elements that would cause the star to dim as if the star was a YSO.

Perhaps there is a region of space between Earth and KIC 8462 that is similar to the environment within CAL that causes atoms in the space around KIC 8462 to be frozen to a point of producing either almost no energy or a reduced amount of energy that could explain the light curve variances of KIC 8462.

Astronomers have found a bizarre asteroid orbiting the sun in the wrong direction while playing a risky game of "chicken" with the largest planet in the solar system.

If you were to put Kepler at the bottom of the page looking at our Sun, as Jupiter transits across the Sun the co-orbitals on either side would actually block the light from our Sun causing a dim in the light curve to take place.
The larger the light curve would mean that a larger Jupiter like planet might be present that would capture more asteroids in a co-orbit.
The light curve for such an event would be similar to the light curve of KIC 8462. Small variations starting out as the co-orbital asteroids began to transit across KIC 8462 then a massive increase in the light curve as the asteroids became more densely packed together then a sudden drop back to a normal light curve as the first group of co-orbitals passed. Then the planet itself would cause a decrease, that is if the planet is separate of the co-orbitals and then the second group would create another decrease.
But since the the decrease of KIC 8462 has been taking place for a very long time I would have to say that a few super sized Jupiter gas planets are present that might even be tidally locked to KIC 8462 where each group of co-orbital asteroids are adding to the mystery of why KIC 8462 and other stars like KIC 8462 continue to dim.
