Just watched the first episode of ENT,
Broken Bow (sorry,
@Griffeytrek, I'm stubborn

).
I liked it I guess. The main plot with the Klingon and the Sulibans (is that how you spell it?) didn't interest me all that much. But I liked what I saw with a few of the characters and it was fun seeing them on their first mission together. Trip and T'Pol were cool, the latter was particularly interesting as she and the other Vulcans in this episode seemed to be less evolved compared to someone like Tuvok, less cold and more condescending. Scott Bakula's the new captain and lead of ENT, he also showed potential. The rest of the characters didn't really do much, and I'm already getting Harry Kim vibes with Ensign Mayweather, but the main three in this episode had good chemistry together. Who says we need an ensemble!?
That theme song though? I'd heard some bad things about it... but sheesh, that was corny. So out-of-place. And the decontamination strip/rub-down scene with Trip and T'Pol made me feel like a sellout for even watching it. That was the biggest load of BS I've seen since Seven put on the catsuit (Jolene Blalock is incredibly hot though, I can't lie

).
I kind of wish we got to see more familiar races in this first episode rather than so much of the "Suliban", whoever they may be. I just went through seven seasons of seeing new and utterly forgettable alien races, I don't fancy having to put up with more of 'em. We're back in the Alpha Quadrant, let's go see a few familiar species for a bit!
It's a pretty good start. I wish the ending had a little more hook to it other than "more adventures". I don't want four seasons of episodic space adventures to far-off alien planets, let's do something new and interesting here. But, yeah, I enjoyed it for the most part.
