Jennifer Lien status

Do you have any poems about VOY in general?

I do not, but Lynx' poetic approach gave me an idea:
As you won't write a poem, as you feel haven't the aptitude, I've taken the liberty of using quotes of yours from another thread (post #35). Of those sampled, there were very few modifications ...

As for Voyager, even though there's nothing like it
and even though today the actors are not divided

I do have the impression there is genuine love
among them, with regular VOYBOY dinners and stuff

They really seem like a big family, which actually
might have been the case towards the end of the show already.

By today they must have realized that the family
atmosphere their show was about also works in reality

Amazing!
Honestly, I could never come up with anything like this.
Very nice, thank you, SIR ...

Sophie, I trust you understand and/or realise that my motivations were completely innocent. I saw it only as an instance of Supply & Demand. And speaking of supply ... I've half a dozen or so Kes poems I've been $aving up, with which to perfect my craft and to colour this thread with panders and flowery descriptions, in verse. Some call me a "no-talent shit," but I suspect otherwise. I see in my prose Inspiration's unmistakable fire.
2takes, Nothing I say here is super serious, this is all just for funsies. Despite the subject matter, I actually like the poems:hugegrin:

T'was not my intention to turn this into a Poetry Thread, that was just thrown in for variety's sake, and because it amused. That's all. So, I'm not offering up anymore, but this was one of the "ready-mades" I mentioned and I just love this pic. Kathryn loved Kes, like she was her own and it's always touched my heart ...

Kes, I know I'm just your PLay Mum
I've no child of my own {but)
It's too soon to lose my baby girl
I want you to stay here at 'home'
Of all my 'kids,' you're the favourite
And I don't care if the rest know it
I'll never kick you out of the nest
I don't want to hear you outgrowed it

She almost blew up the ship in the Gift when she bailed, and blew it right back up again when she returned in Fury.

Totally outgrood.

Yes, with the "outgrowed!" I made sure to put it in there, because I thought it was cute - made damn sure. But that's alright if people don't like it, you know why? Because it's all part of Paying Your Dues, when you're climbing up the ranks, on The Golden Path to becoming a STAR TREK writer. Even when you do finally break the ice, as a New York Times Best-Selling Author with your first, official STAR TREK novel ... fans still keep whinging. You have to have a thick skin, in this business. And you have my complete assurance that nothing will discourage me ....

She likes to blow stuff up clearly.

In all seriousness one of my favorirte scenes is from Fury when she is walking down the corridor and there are all the explosions behind her. I think visually it looked amazing.

With all that she's put herself through, in these stressful times, here's to hoping that Ms. Jennifer Lien has something to be thankful for, this Turkey Day. I, on the other hand, am thankful that she was so beautiful in her youth and graced STAR TREK with her charming presence. Voyager wouldn't have been the same without her. Kes touched the lives of every character on that show, in an earnest and meaningful manner.

visually appealing but loses its meaning after the---how many times did their corridors blow up and look pristine again?

Wang was going to be fired as of Scorpion one.

Wang was then declared one of the sexiest people on the planet by People Magazine while they were on break between seasons, and gained the immunity idol.

So yes, by the time they started making Scorpion II, 4 months after they finished Scorpion 1, Wang was safe and Lein was on her way out.

A lot can happen in 4 months.

They had a couple of troublesome, in at least one case troubled, actors and had other reasons for wanting to make a change. Wang was the lucky one. Lien was one of the better actors on the show but Kes was a dreadful, nearly useless character.

No, she wasn't.
Kes was an unique character who contributed a lot to the series and Lien did an excellent job in portraying the character.

Lien did do very well with what little she had, Ultimately though I didn't really find Kes a particularly interesting character and I don't feel she contributed much to the show at all.
Most of the episodes that focused on here were pretty forgettable stuff.

The 9 year life cycle thing was just silly as well.
