It's voting season, and most of us are fed up with it. To switch things up, if one of the main captains (TV shows and movies) ran for president, who would win? Cast your vote and find out! Who would you want to win?

Close call for me between Kirk and Picard, but I went with Picard - more thoughtful and deliberate - even though he did go all action hero in the movies. Kirk and his 'cowboy diplomacy' and all that hurts him here.

Someone actually voted for Janeway? Must be one of the group whose sole reason in voting for Hillary is that they wanted to see a woman president.

Even worse, votes for Archer? He'd take Porthos to Russia, piss on Putin's leg (Porthos, that is, not Archer - well maybe Archer too) and start WWIII.

I'd expect Archer or Janeway before a vote for NuKirk. I'd think he'd cause a war personally (for the right reasons, but...).

This makes me wonder: how are Federation Council reps selected? We never see any of that. I assume there are elections? And who has executive authority? Starfleet has to be answerable to someone--doesn't it?
