I did think about voting for Janeway but after that scandal where she got her crew stranded millions of light years away from Earth, I am not sure she can be trusted with something as important as the economy. Also I hear she is willing to negotiate and work with terrorist groups. Well Picard has the popular vote so far, but thanks to the electoral college system Kirk is going to win. Which will be fine for the short term, but his presidency will be plagued with accusations of womanising. (This is how Trump should have dealt with questions from the media!) Also another candidate running against him in the election claimed that he once told her that he's had sex with farm animals!
Of the candidates presented, Picard is such an obvious choice that I don't want to pick him. Janeway is used to commanding power, but she lacks any Jackie O' qualities, about her. I don't know ... I keep leaning towards Archer, because of his Jimmy Stewart "awe, shucks" kind of personality, which I feel would engender likeability and trust amongst voters.
I like Darmok's views but Jalad's a loose cannon. Or. Darmok and Jalad at Katie's house party. Shaka, when the counters needed sanitizing.
Considering that the United States Electoral College was created to protect slavers, I surely hope not.
Poll closes tomorrow. There's still time to vote if you haven't but Kirk (Prime) would need a miracle, and he doesn't have Q backing him up like Picard.
The liberal media would have you believe that Jean Luc Picard is the right choice. But look at all the things they're not telling you. Jean Luc Picard met with the enemy at Galorndan Core. His first act as Captain of the Enterprise D, namesake of the great ship commanded by the legendary Jim Kirk, was to surrender. And it didn't end there, he was captured by the enemy and made to lead an invasion of Earth that led to the death and assimilation of tens of thousands of Starfleet officers. Jean Luc Picard took an oath to uphold the prime directive. Since then, he has violated the prime directive fifteen times. Jean Luc Picard has been shown, on record, to be uncomfortable around children. Do you want a president who hates children? We are surrounded on all sides by enemies, stronger than we can possibly imagine. When pressed, Jean Luc Picard's first instinct is to make deals with the enemy, to lay down and surrender. He may even surrender your children. Jean Luc Picard. Wrong on the Borg, wrong for the Federation. This paid for by Wolf 359 Veterans for Truth.
And the polls have closed! The winner... KIRK. Yeah, Picard won the popular vote but Kirk won the electoral college. Sorry.
I voted for Picard, but I suppose you could do a lot worse then President Kirk. "Liberty and Freedom have to be more than just words" - Kirk
News reports have Picard supporters in the streets, blocking traffic, vandalizing cars, starting fires, and generally making high pitched whining noises.
