AxaMonitor's story on Fan Film Factor blogger Jonathan Lane's crowdfunding effort to pay Axanar's monthly expenses. Watch out for whether they spam donors again. Read more »

Here it is.Where was that stated? I must've missed it..
And why would anyone DONATE to a FOR profit business?
Isn't this the same person who is providing the only source of neutral unbiased reporting on the whole Axanar situation?Fan Film Factor blogger Jonathan Lane early this week started a $45,000 GoFundMe campaign to pay three months' rent, utilities and salaries at the Axanar studio.
Sounds to me like he's just trying to raise cash to funnel into AP's pocket to pay for personal expenses until Doomsday hits.
My god. I can't believe how far Alec Peters will go to continue this crap. I really hope C/P decide not to settle
Oh, I'm well aware of what a court settlement might entail. That's why I hope they don't settle because at this point Alec peters deserves NOTHING - and shouldn't walk away with as much as a %$#@! patch from this clusterf**k.A settlement doesn't mean Peters gets something. It's not necessarily a compromise where CBS gets something and Peters gets something.
The settlement discussions could be trying negotiate how much Peters pays CBS.
If CBS/Paramount get what they want over the course of settlement talks, there's no gain in going to court. It's money down the drain. Yes, sure, we all want to see Peters publicly humiliated, but, it's not our money and time being spent. I would be surprised if CBS/Paramount don't get everything they want in the settlement.
Axanar: The Next Scammeration daringly said:But we're so close to the finish line! If we can just keep the lights on for a few more months, this case can play out in court and we'll all know the conclusion...good or bad.

I like our investor group better, they invest a lot of blood sweat and yes.... smilesIs it possible that the investors group is losing members and there isn't enough money left to pay the rent?
I have a few issues with this analogy:This is a David and Goliath story. The studios' strategy is to intimidate and make things too expensive for a fan to outlast the seige.
There's no direct evidence that the asset transfer to the investor group ever happened, so you shouldn't assume that it did. The whereabouts of at least half a million dollars Axanar had at the beginning of the year has been pretty well obfuscated between the rent, utilities and salaries, the rumors of money put in escrow, and so forth.Okay.... so confuse me a minute while I try to follow this:
^^^So, yeah, has not the we'llnevertell investor group reimbursed the full amount of the build-out? Therefore by de facto the new crowdfund is to cover the rent for the now for-profit 'and entirely separate' investor group?
..to cover the expenses of keeping the new for-profit entirely separate investor group industry going until the defendant gets out from under the lawsuit.
Which does not compute to me. The we'llnevertell investor group has reimbursed all build-out monies to the production. The production's funds are publicly stated to be safe in an escrow account. The production company (now existing only on paper) in litigation now has no rent or expenses to pay because as far as the physical studio is concerned.... it now belongs to the for-profit business group. Right?
The new for-profit production company is totally free to commence its for-profit productions isn't it? Isn't it doing so?
So the new crowdfund is for paying for the new for-profit production company's rent & expenses? Until the completely-unrelated-or-attached-to-the-new-for-profit-company..... person & production company in litigation's case comes to conclusion?
I am finding no way to reconcile:
"Whatever moneys are collected here (after fees to GoFundMe) will be donated to AXANAR PRODUCTIONS. Period. No money spent on manufacturing or mailing out perks. Just our money going directly, dollar for hopeful dollar, into keeping the studio open long enough for this case to reach a verdict."
with:
-Why does the new for-profit studio 'need' help in keeping It's studio open when it can be making all kinds of money by itself with no restrictions?
-Why is Mr. Lane saying Axanar Productions needs to keep the studio open long enough for the case to reach a verdict when that studio does not belong to Axanar Productions anymore.
Has Axanar Productions been reimbursed the $250,000 build-out or not?
Is the $250,000 all that's left of the ST crowdfunded money or not?
Is the entire amount left from the ST crowdfunded money along with the $250,000 re-imbursed build-out sitting in an escrow account or not?
Does the new for-profit investor company now fully own the lease and physical sets previously held by Axanar Productions or not?
I have myself been considering a possible connection between the Rand of the FB post to the Rand of the FFF posts. And there it is.Just for the record, Rand is now officially a recovering Axaholic who has fully renounced his former overlord. He says that he regularly received instruction from Alec on who to attack and what to say, even being provided with the text to post with no evidence whatsoever of its veracity beyond Alec's word. Hmmm...
