i hear what you're saying....so what genre was big in the 60's that Indy should tackle?

There's only one place a creation of Lucas and Spielberg would go in the late 1960s/early 1970s: The 'Nam. Or Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, somewhere in there. Something to do with the ancient Khmer Empire (Crystal Skull aliens built Angkor Wat!), with the Viet Cong and (maybe) Pol Pot in the way. Throw in a grown-up Short Round doing some kung-fu fighting, there's your film.

Meanwhile: Remember that Batman TAS/Fleischer Superman-style animated Indy TV series I suggested all the way back in post #7 of this thread? Well, even if you don't, one guy made the opening sequence for what that series could have been...

That felt like real IJ (though he's too goofy / accident prone) more than that horrible, misguided 4th film.

Yeah... except for some batman sound cues mixed in, that was pretty fantastic, and i would watch the FUCK out of it. Someone get this done before Harrison Ford is too old to voice it!! Seriously... kickstarter, whatever it takes, *someone* would pay for this!!!
