Which episode of Voyager would you recommend to a DS9 fan?

My guess is that the initial environment must have been pleasant but after the clown appeared he reprogrammed it to suit his needs. I am just surprised that with his murderous tendencies the clown had been able to refrain from killing them all but one.
I think it was just a matter of time, he just didn't get to them yet. Had Voyager not found them I have no doubt he would have killed all but one

Much like comedy and laughter, fear and intimidation works better on a group.

I don't know. He seemed to understand how fear works pretty well. And he had a pretty decent sense of what might increase and decrease the chances of his own survival.

Well, maximizing his chances for survival would have meant keeping everyone alive. You never know who's gonna live the longest, yet when Voyager found him, he had already killed two people. If he really knew how fear works he would have scared those two into cooperation instead of killing them. Also he was quick to wanting to kill Kim who just got there and was prevented only by one of the guys remark.

To get somebody interested in Voyager who likes DS9, "Caretaker" is the way to go. I'd then follow that up with the Borg episodes and In the Flesh.

Shrinking the group isn't as dangerous as outright eliminating it.

I might go for "Living Witness"

That was the very first episode that sprung to mind - so completely agree. Only downside is that the 'alternate' Voyager crew would fail, as the person wouldn't know what they are normally like.

The Thaw, perhaps, but a depends whether you want a good episode or a 'get them into Voyager' episode. It's not necessarily the latter.

Year of Hell is a good choice, as someone mentioned - although the reset button may frustrate.

Perhaps episodes like Basics.

You may want to avoid Threshold as it may test the threshold of your tolerance for bullshit though.

Like, allergic to water!! Wtf!

Funny story...I just started dating someone who likes DS9 and has never seen Voyager and durring conversation the plot of Threshold came up. He didn't believe that the lizard thing was an actual episode and insisted on watching it. Well after we watched it, he then wanted to go back and watch the whole show. So Threshold did get a DS9 fan to want to watch Voyager!
