The Valjiir Continuum link is part of my signature and I've had it there for a long time. One of the Valjiir authors is a member of this forum, though not very active.Do you mean like that Valjiir Continuum that you always put a link to? I have to do something to earn money. I've heard they're starting the Star Trek: Strange New World Anthologies again that I'm thinking about getting, but I can't get it without money, and I've also read that DS9 books have been relaunched in 2014, but I can't buy them without money.
God bless, Jason Irelan
The Valjiir stories were first published in print 'zines over 30 years ago (in In a Different Reality), which is when I first started reading them. They're online now, with new material and artwork, and many of the older stories have been revised. The authors are not making any money from this, and they've never claimed that they own anything that is rightfully the property of the Star Trek copyright holders.
If you want to read the anthologies and DS9 books, I suggest you try your local library. If they don't have them, most libraries participate in interlibrary loans. And if that doesn't work out, you could always try a job... or if that doesn't work out either, patience is a virtue. There was a time some years back when I went through a 10-year stretch of not being able to afford books. That's why I'm years behind in my Star Trek reading and have no idea what most of the current TrekLit discussions are about. I'm trying to catch up with some series, and have decided to let others go for lack of interest in the story arc or just lack of space here to put more books.
