There was a flash of light, and he was gone.
"Why do you want a male and a female?" asked Odo.
"Because we're going back before they disobey the Lord's commandment," I said, "And they won't have anything on but will feel no shame because the curse won't happen yet, and it would be more appropriate if a female shapeshifter were to change into modest clothes for the first human female when I'm talking to her when the first male's not with her. It'll be unnerving because this will be the first time they see an extraterrestrial, but they'll get over it. Now if Data's there, whoever comes along will have to be prepared to deal with him. He can be easygoing, but he can also be stubborn sometimes."
After a few moments, Odo said he could help, and I asked him to get a female shapeshifter, and we were on our way.
Before we were aboard the Jem'Hadar ship, I said, "I know what founder shapeshifters look like in their original liquid state, so please try to get plenty of rest. Data doesn't require rest, and I'd rather not have you too tired to deal with him if he's there. Odo, I know it's irritated you in the past when people would ask you to turn into different creatures or objects; but there's one creature from Earth that I wouldn't mind seeing and holding; and that's a garter snake; but I don't need you to spend too much time as one if it'll rob you of your rest. I want you well rested when we get to the planet where the Guardian is. Speaking of snakes, here's something else that I thought would be appropriate in regards to snakes when I try to talk Eve out of eating from the fruit after she was lied to. According to Scriptures it was a serpent telling the lies when I'm pretty sure it was the devil." I told him my idea before we beamed aboard the Jem'Hadar ship.
We were on our way to the worm hole. When we weren't that far from the wormhole, the runabout was released from the ship; and after going through the wormhole, we were on our way.
I told them of my plans for dealing with anyone guarding the time portal; and I asked them to turn into air at first, so that I could just say things to them about what happened in Earth's history and casually mention how many wars could be avoided if someone went back and talked the first female out of eating from that forbidden fruit. I told them after that happened to wait a few seconds and make sure I was clear away from them and to turn into a poisonous gas that would knock anyone unconscious for a couple hours; and I told them that if Data was there, they could change back into air; and I would ask the Guardian to shift to a random period of time on any planet and one of them make a hand appear and use it to take Data's com badge and throw it through the Guardian. I told them about the off switch on Data.
