I was almost 13 when the first movie came out. I never owned any shirts (I didn't even know they existed!) but I was crazy obsessed with it for a while, too. I can't count how many times I rewatched it once I got it on VHS (and, later, DVD).
I love the fact they are actually presenting a drastically changed world. I was afraid they were going to just have everything going back to the way it was after the invasion, and then just presenting a 2016, or whatever year this is taking place in, that looks exactly like the real world.
Ummm... Why would that be something you want to see over other places? I understand to some degree the allure of disaster porn, but I don't actively desire to see some place obliterated.we never see the Middle East attacked by the aliens. I'd love to see the Kaaba or something like Mecca being vaporized by aliens.
