Fuller House teaser trailer

I read that one too. The main thorough-line I see through these negative reviews is that fans of the original show will probably enjoy it. So that's good enough for me.

The negative reviews were expected, I even agree with them! I will watch Fuller House but not because the trailer made me think "That looks like a good show!", I (and I assume most people) will watch it bevause it's Full House ... it really is, they could slap "Full House season 9" on a DVD release and it wouldn't be misleading.

Yeah. I wasn't expecting anything remotely close to good. It's spiritual sibling, GMW, isn't very good either. I think the difference, though is going to be the casting.

GMW's saving grace is the girls, who are both an utter delight. Carpenter is a superstar-in-waiting and Blanchard is probably going to run for president some day.

From everything I've read so far, it just don't see that kind of potential with anyone in FH.

I'll for sure watch the pilot and then just keep watching until I get bored.

That begs the question, does everything need to be a 10? No. I think it's fine as long as it's enjoyed with tempered expectations.

If it does well, maybe we can get a Family Matters sequel series. I need more Carl Winslow and Urkel in my life. I'm not sure how you'd structure the series. Maybe Carl and Harriette are retired and open a business. Urkel and Laura then move nearby and end up help and hi-jinks ensue.

Family Matters was pretty much a sci-fi show at the end, so maybe they could expand on that. Steve is married to Laura and insanely rich because of his inventions, Carl and Harriet live with them (the property is in theory bog enough that everyone has their own space). Carl has problems keeping up with all the new technology Steve keeps introducing and occasionally presses the wrong button which leads to all kinds of wacky sci-fi plots (and destroyed kitchens) and drives Steve crazy.

Stop digging you struck oil.

I think I have a pilot episode. Steve has invented a time teleporter. Carl finds it and brings a baby dinosaur into the present. The two must catch it and get into all kinds of wacky hijinks trying to hide it from their wives.

We can contact the Henson people and see if we can use Baby Sinclair. We can bring back every ABC sitcom that ran at a few seasons.

I watched the first two episodes this morning, no more time as I haev to get ready to leave for Teaching.

But man, this show has exceeded my expectations! And I was already looking forward to it a lot. I've read people commenting that they could have just kept the same name and said it was Season 9 and it'd be pretty accurate, but as a spin-off it works too. After I get home this evening I plan to watch the rest of the series, I really do love this show.

Now, if only they can work out something with one of the Olsen twins to get Michelle back for Season 2.

Just watched the first episode... Wow that was awful. Don't know if I'll bother with the second episode, don't think so though

Yeah, only got time to watch the first one so far, but I'm liking it quite a bit. I think anybody expecting anything other than what we got would be kidding themselves. If anything, changing anything would get complaints that it's not close enough to the style of Full House. What they did was pretty good in keeping the same style while modernizing it. It's like a comfortable old glove; maybe it's old and dirty and full of holes, but it's comfy and that's all that really matters. We know that particular glove won't win fashion awards, but who cares? I even like the split screen moments of comparison.

The only thing I'd change is the laugh track. It feels like they went a bit overboard with it and it could use some toning down.

Watching the second episode of Fuller House.

Kimmy is so hot. :adore:

(She's like a Stepford Wife on Reverse.)
Kimmie's got some hotness, sure, but wait till you get to episode three.

Stephanie is...DAYUM!

I seem to have gotten farthest. I made it to episode five. It doesn't suck eggs. I never laughed at the original. This I laughed at. I declare it an improvement.

Yeah. I've laughed out loud a few times. Mostly at Barber. There must be some Kimmy Gibbler stigma in Hollywood because I just don't understand how she couldn't have gotten any work the last 20 years.

And, yeah, she looks amazing.

Never underestimate Hollywood's ability to typecast. Barber's so associated with Kimmie that casting directors probably can't get past that when considering her for other roles.

It's filmed in front a studio audience.

And Andrea Barber has stated multiple times that she quit acting to raise her kids. She's probably the best actor of the bunch.

To be clear, I talking about the entire Gibbler "weirdo" package.

Andrea isn't a great actress, she's a great over actress.

Never watched Dancing With the Stars, but that injoking was still funny :)
