Don't let the look of the set sway you from enjoying a good story.
There are some great episodes and some good stories and some pretty powerful messages that show how tyranny works.
One of my favorite stories is Believers which presents Dr. Richards with an ethical dilemma in which an ultra religious family will not allow him to do an operation that will save the child's life. They believe that the operation will destroy their child's soul and would rather let the child die than have his soul destroyed.
This episode is actually a pretty ballsy episode, and could arguably be the most ballsy episode of the entire series.
I plan on rewatching season 1 now. Gonna try to catch all the references to future storylines I missed my first time though.
Claudia was gone through things that happened during the waiting for season 5 period. Others like Jan, could tell you far more, but I missed Ivanova. The scene in her office when she speaks in 'Sleeping in Light' was a real highpoint for me since I didn't know she'd be back. I didn't mind Lochley, but I think Tracy Scoggins played her too much like Ivanova. She softened up some in the movies and was less of an Ivanova clone there.Just finished the series. Wow. What a wild ride. Beautiful ending and worth the journey. I covered 5 seasons, in 2 weeks!
I was truly sad to see Sheridan go but happy to see Ivanona back. Even for a brief moment. Why they canned Ivanova for Lochley, I have no idea. Lochley faded in to the back halfway through season 5 and was essentially a glorified guest star.
Also, wtf they do to Lennier?! I was expected him to pull something but that? Just tasteless for a very likable, quirky character like Lennier to pull.

Yes, so what?
I know. I broke the great nerd rules so I must be corrected and insulted all to tarnation and back.
I really don't care if I did or not.
Your offense has no substance or credibility to me.

Poor Lennier. I liked his arc, but the show leaves his story sadly unfinished. If someone could do a spinoff novel of his story from there, I would love to read it one day.
Season one is probably my favorite after having seen the series. Seeing the world building going on with the knowledge of what will come really brings a lot of the stories together. The first time through, season one seemed very odd for the many different tones from episode to episode but in review it was wonderful being able to see the many story ideas that will come together.
It was a response to Guy Gardner slam to me.
Yes I know what's coming next.
Just do your mod thing and I'll drop the matter.
Re: Claudia Christen not being in S5 this is what the lurkers guide says about it.
