Agents of SHIELD - Season 2 Discussion Threads. (Spoilers Likely)

You say that like Raina hasn't gone around stabbing people in the back.

Has Raina really betrayed anyone? In Mike's case, Mike broke the contract first by drawing attention in the first episode (as well as joining Shield), she showed Coulson the truth (under Garrett's orders), she did what Garrett requested by completing the serum, and she didn't betray Skye's father, who she was working for the whole time.

Chan, Poe, the female doctor from the pilot, bailing on Garett.

Yeah, she kind of stabs people in the back.
To be fair, though, Ward has gunned down lots of people in cold blood.

ETA: Kidnapping Ace is a much better example, though. She's certainly not a great person. But you people have high standards for redemption. Remember back in the day when people wanted Gul Dukat to be redeemed? All these characters combined couldn't reach him.
Not to mention Londo Mollari, who essentially was redeemed and even became pals with G'Kar, the guy whose world he devastated.

Thoughts so far:

I'm still curious about why Coulson insists on keeping Skye in the dark. She underwent the same treatment he did.

Raina begs. Raina...begs.

And you-know-who is apparently an old nemesis of Whitehall.

Simmons now knows the ID of Whitehall.

Raina, not Raima. I'd argue Coulson doesn't want to tell Skye because he's embarrassed (and because it would be a reason to question his judgment in the future). It's personal, not mission-related. Hence why May gets lines thrown in to be the voice of reason.

She knows that "Whitehall" exists and knows of her. Beyond that, for now...not much else.

You're right about Coulson and Skye. Up to a point. But she has two key differences:

1) She was alive when injected with GH-325.

2) She's an "084" herself, despite appearing human down to and including the genetic level.

But that, in itself, might be helpful in resolving Coulson's problem.

Love the exchange between Fitz and faux-Simmons. Fitz acknowledges that she isn't real...and thus can move on.

And he's talking better, apparently.

At last Skye knows the connection with the etchings...and holy crap, about Ward's warning about mad-Garrett not being "meant to survive".

Love how the issue is all coming out in this episode. And the exchange on how Skye might be...

Okay, I am LOVING this episode!

1) Simmons's means of evading suspicion--intentional, or not? If so, that's dark even for her.

2) Seems like some setting up for that HYDRA woman to be Simmons's nemesis for this arc.

3) GREAT confrontation between Raina, Coulson...and by extension, Skye. And great twist--no last-second "All right, I'll do it!"

Run, Simmons, run!

Okay:

Is Bobbi Morse someone from the comics I should know about?

I love them turning the tables on Raina. After she BEGS!

Okay..."Skye comes this close--but the tease is unrewarded".

Still...I love Kyle's acting. "...monster!"

The reunion. Oh, boy...I love it.

So--Bobbi's the "she-devil ex-wife".

AND...
Skye knows what the markings are!
