Wow, I really wish my computer were fast enough to play this. I mean, my work computer is, but the last thing I need is to start playing it there.

I just did the finale Episode for the Defari/Breen 'Weekly Episode' series; and was so impressed by the work of the enviromental artists that I wanted to post some screencaps from the 'Preserver planet':

Hi Dad! (Hey, he just said they were the Fathers of us all.) :)

That's cool if they are linking the Preservers to the race seen in the Chase. It's about time they tied up those kinds of loose ends!

That's never been a connection I'm happy with. The humaniod progenitors from the chase were around before earth developed life at all, while the preservers were around as recently as 1000 years ago. It's just too big a time gap.

I've always viewed them as analogous to the First Ones in B5. Just because they were around a long time ago doesn't mean that one or two of them couldn't pop back to tweak their experiment. I find that easier to cope with than a long line of unrelated advanced and/or all-powerful beings in Trek. If the Traveller is an agent of or member of their species, doesn't bother me a bit; if the Q are an off-shoot of the Organians that went down one particular evolutionary road, I can live with that too.

I collected lots of new screenshots. No particular theme though... enjoy.

Back to the Future (TOS Era Time Travel Mission Screencaps)

The latest Davidian Featured series just had a time travel episode where you're sent to a 23rd Century deepspace station. As a die hard TOS fan, I was amazed at what the STO Dev team did with the interiors and 23rd century (TOS Era) atmosphere. Here are a lot of screencaps of the station and other stuff; including encountering an 'old friend'. ;)

All in all an excellent mission. The 23rd century hand Phasers had the old original TOS sound effects; as did the consoles and everything else. As a TOS fan, I hope they add more time travel to the 23rd century. I loved this mission. :)

"Docked" with DS9 in the new sector space map. (Got bored. :3 Click the mini pic for full size.)

Sitting in chairs tech, below. To get the lower camera angle, I had to crouch before double clicking on the seat to sit. Unfortunately, every so often she pops out of her seat to crouch on it.
