Re: Back to the Future (TOS Era Time Travel Mission Screencaps)

All in all an excellent mission. The 23rd century hand Phasers had the old original TOS sound effects; as did the consoles and everything else. As a TOS fan, I hope they add more time travel to the 23rd century. I loved this mission. :)

Didn't I hear right that they're doing a TOS bridge? Hopefully it'll come with a proper TOS interior rather than the 25th Century one every other ship has.

I haven't heard of that. If they did, though, you know that they would make the interior the size of the entire 1701 saucer section and then give their old cop out excuse about their crappy camera limitations.

On a more positive note, one of my captains was so excited to have his new 2270 era uniform, he needed a short visit to the Sick Bay

My KDF captain, on the other hand, was able to customise his ship to look more Romulan than Klingon.

Below is before I switched to the jade green hull type.

I'm basing my ship and my crew on my fan fic series (see the link in my signature)...

I'd would have made more, but I ran out of room on the Yorktown.

Lol - these screenshots are awesome. If anybody has any TMP era uniform shots to post I'd love to see them - especially action shots. I'm doing a photostory using TMP screenshots and I think part 3 (just uploaded to Youtube) suffered because I couldn't really do any action shots. For part 4, I'd love to experiment by cutting and pasting some game uniforms using Gimp instead. It would be great if anybody could help!

Sadly, the Yorktown couldn't cut it against Romulans and Remans, so she's now a museum ship. Bring the kids; they can have their picture taken with a cardboard cutout of Captain Mason. Meanwhile, here's my new ride...

But maybe not for much longer. At the rate I'm going, I'll be a captain by next week.

Edit: Heck, it didn't last through the night. Feast your eyes on the Yorktown-A...

Always had a soft-spot for the Excelsior-class. The ship that no one wanted to fly but no one could get rid of.

Looks like it says U.S.S. Essex to me. :p

Not yet. But it will be with one of the upcoming updates. New ships always show up first as NPC.
As will the Andorian warship we saw Shran captaining.

That's is what it says. I wanted to avoid the whole -A, -B, -C thing so I named it (and the cruiser I had) after other ships I've used in fan fic, but since I picked up the Excelsior on a lark (meaning while intoxicated) I figured why not.

It rather bothers me that you can't give your ships the same names whilst adding the A, B, C, D, Etc to the registry. Sure, in the show a new letter wasn't added until an Enterprise was destroyed/completely decomissioned, but I feel that they should afford us an exception. Some of us like to keep our older ships for silly sentimental reasons... I know I do. :p

After all, it's not like we can have all the ships running around at the same time to confuse people. (I like re-using names, too: Star Hammer, Tannhauser Gate, Queen Emeraldas)

My latest acquisition:

The USS Venture-A. Mind you, it's only the -A because when I entered in Venture by itself, the game told me it was restricted. Odd.

I have a new boat as well. The USS Sinclair isn't a canon ship, but most definitely a cannon ship. ;) She is named after Jeffrey Sinclair and has a Minbari Captain. Consider it a little exchange program. ;)

Here she is right before her maiden voyage:
