Picked up some new undies and a belt for hubby's birthday next month. Now I just have to hide them.

And I also picked up a chocolate shake for myself.

Yesterday I bought a new fridge which I had been saving up for. The fridge cost me $689 plus $30 delivery. It is an all- refrigerator as I didn't need it to have a freezer section.

I also received a book from Book Depository. It is The Time Traveller's Guide to Medieval England by Ian Mortimer..

I don't suppose many people here have heard of A Touch of Frost? Well, I got myself a couple of DVDs.
I have, they broadcast it on the public channels here occasionally. IIRC the lead actor also played Rincewind in the recent Discworld miniseries.

Yep, you're right. The actor is called David Jason, and is one of my favourite British actors - and perhaps one of the best loved in the country.

Pastrami sandwich from my favourite local deli/coffee house.

heh. I like that, both as a post here and because I love a good pastrami sammich.

I just bought this:

My old faithful gave up the ghost yesterday morning (leaving me twitching before work for lack of caffeine), so I immediately began researching replacements. After all was said and done, I ended up essentially getting a new improved version of the same machine I'd had for the past 8 years. I figure 8 years is about all you can expect out of a coffee maker these days.

^ Looks very nice!

I bought wallpaper. Not regular wallpaper, but erm, renovation-wallpaper? It's thick and has some texture. Basically, you put it on old walls and it hides all the imperfections and afterwards you paint over it. Just what I needed!

We bought a Yamaha Arius digital piano. But it wasn't until after we got it all put together and plugged in that we discovered the last 10 or so keys were jammed and unusable. It all went back in the box and returns via UPS on Monday. We'll probably get the same model once we are refunded since its such an awesome machine otherwise.

Thanks. It was good eating. :D

I often do the same; if it served me well in the past, I tend to go with the same make in the future.

Sounds like you need me to buy a plane ticket. My family has built houses for three generations and I have been slinging plaster since I was seven. I could even out the walls and skim them clean in no time flat. I am out of practice though so it might take me a couple of weeks... which means we could visit while I... practiced. :D

We had dinner tonight at Fish City Grill; it was surprisingly good. Hubby ordered the honey-chipotle shrimp as an appetizer---YUM!

Then we hit the grocery store and stocked up for the week. Luckily, we had a lot left over from the week before, so we only spent about 45 bucks.

Today I bought a very cool pair of Nike Air Max and a pink New York Yankees cap for a very special little girl.

Here are the trainers:

Needless to say, she was very very happy! :)

I just bought a Kodak Zi8 pocket camcorder... same color as in the pic. Unfortunately, the software that should have been included was not in the box, so I gotta call Kodak and have it sent to me.

But other than that, I'm happy with the purchase, because I bought it only after reading and watching MANY hands-on reviews of the product which really gave it good marks. It beat Flip in head-to-head tests, and it can record in full 1080p.

I've always liked men who knew how to work their tools. ;-)
