^ I love browsing that website for stuff. The entries are a hoot. I also love the background. It starts out as robots but changes to zombies when you scroll down the page! :bolian: It is one of the few websites that makes me feel right at home.

Gotta love thinkgeek.com, they really know their target audience :techman:

I bought a bunch of travel size toiletries for my trip, seeing as I don't know how long I'll be there, refilled my prescription, and picked up some munchies just for me.

I bought a movie ticket... to see "Inception". It was the best $8 I have spent in a long time.

And yeah that is $8 for a matinee. I almost had a stroke. I remember when it was $2.50 fifteen years ago and $1.50 when I was a kid.

Went to the store to order Iain M. Banks' Surface Detail (it's supposed to come out sometime in October) - and ended up buying four Terry Pretchett's as well...

I have just ordered "Orphans', a 1987 movie starring Albert Finney, Matthew Modine and Kevin Anderson. This is one of my favourite movies and I have been waiting for years for it to come out on DVD. It cost me $US26.99 as it is manufactured on demand when ordered from Amazon. I gather it has no extras. it is just the movie. In my opinion it is unfortunate that this movie, a masterpiece of acting is not better known.

Next fortnight I might buy a secondhand version of the play that the movie was based on.

^Not exactly. I'm going to my parents' house to look after my mom, who broke a bone in her back. Dad is too weak, and too senile to be left on his own for very long. And, wouldn't you know it, this is the week that my sister, her 10 year old twins and 1 year old baby are visiting. Plus my nephew will be there all week.

So, I'll be up there doing crowd control, being a shoulder for my recently-separated sister to cry on, cooking for Mom and Dad, playing with the kids, and sleeping on the living room couch with ZERO privacy.

On Friday, I'll get to go to a motel, when hubby comes up late that night, and we have the room for two nights.

This will be a very, very long 5 day visit.

Though I am still not allowed to buy a Nook or Kindle (since it is now my weight loss goal), my wife has generously allowed me to buy the three Trek books i am missing from the current crop, Children of Kings, Seven Deadly Sins and CoE: Out of the Cocoon.

I have recently bought the new Seth Lakeman album, and also Highlander and Let The Right One In on Blu Ray.
