I have the opposite question. Why do they believe that the longer your legs are, the bigger a fat ass you must be.


Some of us are still tall and thin!
 
I bought today: lunch (coke, baguette and the most delicious iced doughnut ever), and then after work: chicken bites, peperami, sweets, a Wispa Gold, cereal, a bottle of JD and a bottle of blueberry cider.
 
Bought a new mouse for my laptop, because my old one just gave in.

The thing I love most about it is that the receiver is so small, I won't ever risk to break it or bend it and it won't ever get in the way. I just plugged it in and now I can forget about it. :techman:

^^ I saw something similar to that in the shops a few weeks ago. Was tempted to buy it, but instead settled for that comfy pair of headphones with the headset mic.

YAnd as for your movies, I can tell you that The Philadelphia Story is not only one of my all-time favourites, but definitely one of the best comedies you will -ever- see.

I finally got round to watching a couple of these. Saw His Girl Friday a few days ago and enjoyed it but wasn't blown away. But I just saw The Philadelphia Story and it is brilliant - the dialogue, the timing, the supporting cast, and yes, even the clothes, are all truly brilliant.

I like High Society, but I have to say that I prefer The Philadelphia Story because it just tells the story better, and in a deeper way. The cast dynamics work in a smarter way, too. Great stuff!

Will probably try to get round to Holiday tomorrow.

I had no doubt you'd love the costumes, well, the clothes really. I personally believe that Adrian was one of the most talented costume designers (and fashion designers) of all times. :cool:

The crackling, fast-paced, overlapping dialogue is my favorite part of this film. George Cukor had to do it that way to cram a stageplay's worth of dialogue into a normal-length film. :lol:

I especially loved the scene of Hepburn & Stewart in the moonlight. The clothes just made that scene even better. :adore:

I watched Holiday earlier today. Turns out I have seen it before, but only the second half. It's a really good movie with some magic scenes, but I kind of wish I'd watched it before The Philadelphia Story because I preferred the dynamics in the latter. Still, watching Hepburn and Grant tumbling is wonderful fun! :cool:
 
Yesterday was an active day for me:

Got my hockey skates sharpened, sent my favorite hockey stick to have the blade repaired, picked up Ghostbusters, Madden 10, some kid's movies, and Slapshot on DVD at a video store closing sale.

I also acquired nearly $200 in golf shirts for nothing. I'm glad that investment/ mutual fund wholesalers aren't restricted on giving away swag. :D
