I'm very very pleased (like Rick Berman on good coke). I haven't bought anything at all in ages but whenever I get back to Ottawa, as I am now, I check out the thrift stores here since they don't get picked over as much as in Montreal, and yesterday I found some great items. First of all, a light grey pinstripe suit that fits me better than any other suit I've ever found, which is hard to do because of my proportions. Second, I found a blue pinstripe sports coat, which also fits remarkably well, and may become part of a Doctor Who costume. Third and fourth, a toothpaste green polo shirt with a white moose embroidered on the left breast, and a late fall/early winter jacket that'll come in really handy soon. Lastly, I found a pair of great H&M jeans that seem like they haven't been worn, for only $10. Total cost, $75!![]()
Killer deals!
Light grey pinstripe suits rock esp. on bright sunny spring & autumn days - I have one myself and it gets a lot of use in those seasons. Wore it just a couple of days ago in fact.
I'm on a self-imposed clothes moratorium for a month or so until the MTM sale starts at my local tailor, 'cos I've got two bundles of fabric I picked up at a very good price a while back just waiting to be made up into a 3-piece suit and a pair of trousers.
Yeah, I was really happy about it. I'm finally starting to gather a reasonable assortment of semi-formal wear, which is excellent. Someday I might actually have an entire wardrobe.

And then someday, like you (you tease!) I may actually be able to get a proper bespoke suit. That would be a dream. Hope yours turns out well.
