My parents are visiting and they brought a wonderful present: an LG Blu-ray player.
So I have finally, officially entered the 21st century.

Good stuff, enjoy the wonderful world of BD.

Both of those movies look pretty damn good in HD.

I plan on finding two other movies today, we'll see which ones. I am now spoiled and won't ever be able to watch a DVD with the same enthusiasm again.

^ Yeah I have a hard time watching DVDs now that I've gotten used to Blu-rays.

I just got the entire series of DS 9 on DVD. I also purchased (ordered) two new plastic model kits : an A-7 corsair II and the Viper from NBSG (MK II).

I purchased this (bargain) beauty this week:

It's a 1:32 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I as flown by Pilot Officer Alan Deere (a NZ ace) of the RAF during the Battle of Britain.

Stocked up on fruits, veggies and cereal for the week.

Several packages of printer paper and a pack of report covers. I had an Office Depot card that was about to expire, so I figured I might as well use it. Total cost: $0.00.

Groceries for hopefully the next two weeks and cat food and litter for a month, total $160.

Hopefully now that I have a social security number, I can sweet talk the woman I'm volunteering for into giving me a job, get a credit card and buy a nice new eReader
