There is also a safety net. If I as a pensioner reach the threshold (which in 2008 was $290) I get my prescriptions after that for free. If a non-pensioner reaches their threshold (AUD$1141.80 in 2008) than they get the rest of their prescriptons for the same price as pensioners (currently $5.40). The vast majority of drugs are on the PBS.
I splurged and bought a new toy...
About 85 bucks worth of groceries. God Damn Whole Foods.

Some perennials, vines and a lilac bush for my yard. YAY!
I definately liked it more the second time through.... the trailers painted it as a non-stop LOL type of movie, like a Jim Carrey, so I think I left the theater disappointed the first time because I was expecting something else. Now that I know what to expect, it's a much more enjoyable movie.^ Just saw The men who stare at goats - good little movie, and a fabulous cast. Hard to believe the story is based on a perfectly serious BBC documentary!![]()

Nice! That's a damn good trade, I think. And the color is great, too.
My poor Explorer had served me well for many years and almost 200K miles, but was getting very long in the tooth. I wanted a car after that long with a "truck", and needed a wagon to have room for my dogs and, voila. 2008, low miles, every toy and option BMW offers and certified with warranties up the wazzoo. And it is REALLY FUN to drive.
